J-Hope and Jungkook looked terrified. Imagine going to a foreign country not knowing the language and something like this happens. Some have said they knew what was happening but I really don't think so. When Jungkook said he was worried he was going to get sold off and never see his parents again broke my heart. And keep in mind Jungkook was only 16 years old and the others were young too. There are some good moments in this show too. Miss Iris is a personally favorite of mine. And it's nice to see them navigate around LA. Also to see them handing out fliers to random people on the street asking people to come to their concert for free for a few hundred people. And now 7 years later they will be performing at SoFi Stadium for 4 nights at 70,000 capacity each night. BTS story is just so inspirational.

It is humiliating of course we hate it. To give an opportunity of a life time you should not go through that humiliation and terrifying experience. Of course because people didn't take it well, now they are saying the guys new. But them faces are terrified.

@luzcartagena6869 2 жыл бұрын
@@bada2839, Suga knew. If you look at his face, he's relaxed. He saw the cameras. I think RM also realized what was going on. I don't think the other boys realized, ESPECIALLY Hobi and Kookie. We have to remember that this was 2014 where shows like Prank'd and Jackass ruled. Stupid things like this we're thought to be funny. It doesn't make it right and I personally would have serious words with Bang PD when I got back to Korea, but I guess people at the time thought it was the thing to do. I have always been nothing but pissed and disgusted with this from the first time I saw this and every time since! It NEVER gets easier to watch Ep 1. BUT this show gave them entree into a new audience in the US, an introduction to the US hip hop scene that provided them with resources that they still use today AND gave them access to BBAs in a way they wouldn't have had had they not done the show.

@@luzcartagena6869 you describe it better than I do. It doesn't make it right and although an opportunity, opportunities should not come from humiliation, as a human beens we must reflect on what is acceptable and what is not. About Suga may be at the very end but at the beggining he didn't know, he would act a bit differently if he knew, but is just my opinion, of course. Eventually I guess they did all found out after certain time, but the first terrifying impression is with them forever. I don't think you can forget something like that. But thanks we totally agree on everything

Most of it is unnecessary, the way they teach hiphop in that show was the lowest form of teaching because Coolio could have done it the way Warren G did his teaching. BTS learned way way more from Warren G and the lessons they learned from Coolio is below the parameters of teaching hiphop.

When BTS go to airports it gets really crowded. There are so many people that’s it’s more likely the members would get squashed by the security guards rather than fans. Though once Army realised that this was getting out of hand, they created the ‘Purple Ribbon Project’. Fans would hold a part of a very long purple ribbon to keep disrespectful fans behind, and create a pathway from their plane, all the way to their car. Also I think BTS have moved to private jets, mainly because they’d have sasaeng fans (stalkers) purposely book tickets on the same plane in seats right next to them.

The first few episodes are CRINGE, NGL, but the members learn so many valuable life lessons and develop some great techniques that you see in their signature sounds to this day from the various tutelage. I think it's worth watching. Esp near the end. My favorite segments are 1- when the legendary Ms Iris gives validation to V's soulful vocals right when his confidence was shaky, 2- the skidrow life advice, 3- the Warren G neighborhood walk thru and BBQ talk. Talk about life changing moments. 💜 Also. Keep in mind that MNET's script had several of their "tutors/supervisors" act super strict with them. Even the kid supervisor in the airplane hanger was directed to go outside more times than he wanted to "critic" the members' work.

Nate and Tony were the only legit tutors to be honest. I'm not surprised you found nothing on Dante, however.. Nate is a Grammy winning song writer which I think was one thing they considered. He's a rapper but he's known more for his writing and producing- he also wrote on Beyonce's 'single ladies' I think it was about the experience these two had, they've been in the industry a long time and they've done and seen a lot so they could help BTS in those aspects. The first episode is rough. MNet produced this and they did have a lot of say, but there were things that Bang Si-Hyuk wouldn't tolerate- and if you continue to watch, you'll see it in a few episodes what I mean. After a few episodes it gets really good though, and you see the guys are learning some valuable things and honestly, even Coolio's questions that he demanded answers to was helpful for them. Because they wanted to learn about hip hop, so they should know these things to help them understand it more. Some fans don't like this show at all and yeah, the first episode is messed up and there's a few parts in the first few episodes that are not cool... but the majority of this show is great and the guys learned a lot from it, by watching it you can see how it's helped them grow. I think despite the few bad parts... overall it's worth a watch.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but after this experience, SUGA stood up for the group and said if anything like this sh*t happens again, there would be consequences. He was genuinely concerned for Hoseok (I'm not talking about J-Hope the entertainer, but Hoseok his friend) and Jungkook, who are probably the most sensitive. SUGA is a tough character and assessed the environment he was in; he noted the cameras so adjusted himself and went with the flow. However, in that heightened situation, J-Hope and Jungkook were genuinely frightened. They weren't trained for that - but that's what the cameras were there to capture (it was a reality show, after all). Most ARMY will comment that Episode 1 is a write-off, but if you can get past it, the rest of the series is worth watching. Stick with it, Anthony - there are true gems in this series, but you have to keep watching. And as others have noted, their album "Dark & Wild" was recorded during their stay in LA - they did this reality show AND recorded the album, too (it's one of my favorites - Cypher Pt 3 came from this album).

I didn't like many parts of this show, cause our boys were treated disrespectfully and I hated the first prank.... but I watched it just to know how they were treated and what they had learned about hip hop, about the life and how they record their album. If you feel confortable, you should watch it just to know more of our boys. You'll realize how humble BTS are. I'm sure you will apreciate their hard work. 💜💜💜 Greetings from Mexico!! 🇲🇽💜👍😉💜

This is what you can fine about then from the internet today. "Jamal Quezaire is an actor and producer." "Nathan L. Walker, better known by his stage name Nate Walka, is an American recording artist, Grammy Award winning songwriter, music producer and vocal producer based in Atlanta, Georgia. " "Tony D. Jones is an American songwriter, designer and actor from San Antonio, Texas."

The first few episodes are definitely not Army’s favorite, but like others said, it does get better and they have a lot of learning moments. Is it necessary as an Army to watch AHS? Nah. Does it give you context for certain inside jokes and also background info for touching and iconic BTS lore? Absolutely. Also, I loved your reaction to the first episode and would love to see more!

I became an army after watching this when it came out, before i would only watch their dance practices 🥴 i suffered so much watching this, specially the first episodes, still i’m glad i did, learnt so much about the boys (who were actually just boys back then), started respecting them so much more and fell totally in love with their work

And they literally did not have a break on this show. While they were filming for it they were also working on their dark and wild album at nights so they didn’t get a lot of rest and it showed. It was also their last “hip hop” album. The next one was the most beautiful moment in life. It’s like they realized that this scene was not for them. They changed their look after this

Actually Toni was lovely with them. He was the only one. It gets better later. Dont give up. They will meet other people too. They end up learning a lot and experience many things which make BTS unique. Such disrespect angers Army a lot, but it will get better. In fact it is a must watch show to see BTS experiences which no other group had.

@@ipurpleu1668 I obviously meant among the main tutors, involved in their daily schedule. Only the tutors have been shown till now, though I have hinted...IT WILL GET BETTER. Did not want to give away anything. There were several teachers who came to teach them for short durations and are not included in my comment, like Iris Stevenson, or Warren G, mainly. Because they were not really looking after the boys. Toni did nice things like including the visit to the poor area. He stood out. The places where they went to work weren't respectful either, like the boat cleaning and the helicopter guy. The latter was terrible. Even the basketball team leaders were nice one of them being Toni. I hope I have given enough proof that I have watched the episodes. 🤦🏽‍♀️🙄

Your comments were so on point! This series is widely disliked among ARMYS because they were many instances that they were disrespected. The way Dante treated Jin and Yoongi and the way Coolio treated Taehyung brought me tears. Thankfully BigHit didn't put the boys though something like this again.

I think this was the Producers of the Mnet who wrote this in and Big Hit was so tiny then they did not have the power to protect the boys and say no to idiotic script writing like this. Also reading it in a script can be very different than how it can be acted out. :=(

Those plushies behind them during the interviews are from their webtoon “Hip Hop Monsters”. This is way before the BT21 characters they made. They also have a second webtoon titled “We On” which is a little cringey because it’s a superhero story with them having powers. At first I thoughht it was fan-made, but it’s not haha

I can't tell you how much respect I have for you. I love that you're open to everything BTS does and has done. I'm so glad that your reaction was pretty much the same as the rest of us when we first watched this show. It was honestly a bad way to start off, but watching until the end, we see how much the guys learned from it and how they've applied it to their music up until today. It's sad how naive most of them were back then on this show, but God damn, they've evolved. The people who treated them bad on this show and everywhere around during this time are all watching our guys strive and continue to keep going up. We're just laughing in their faces now. Thank you for reacting to this and expressing your opinion!

Bang Hitman knew how the kids were treated. He had to know, especially the manager walking away. He's not going to let anyone touch these kids after all the money he invested in them! He love these kids They! There was someone in the show that treated them badly and when the boys complained, he was gone.
