JK has really matured and his personality is really shining now. He seems like a very down to earth sweet guy.

He gets nervous about his English, always, but Jimmy has really earned some trust at this point. They go to him because he takes time with them, there's an interpreter, he's silly beforehand... He's genuinely a fan but more than that, he's a really sensitive host. I also love how relaxed JK is in this interview and how he's tuned into Jimmy. And the comedic timing of "....still afraid" was generally brilliant 😂 nice work our maknae. His English pronunciation has gotten so good - he's been working on it, and it shows. I dare anyone who wants to criticize his English to learn Korean 😂

I think JK feels most confident when surrounded by ARMYs who love and support him.(actually, Jimmy, who fumbled a bit, is the one who looked uncomfortable in the presence of our superstar!) People who are new to BTS/JK may not realize how well he's been trained and that he's been doing this for more than 10 years already....he's a humble pro. Many Koreans are shy about speaking English, even when fairly good at it....RM has been the exception and has spoken on their behalf all these years even when they knew most of the English words to say. IMO, they kind of suddenly had the rug pulled from beneath their feet and are forced to stand alone for this time.....each of them has done a GREAT job, though all have not received the attention the've deserved. I'm sad to see him, once again, 'on top' and having to drop everything in his life/career to go and serve. Our world is crazy right now and may get worse.....prayers for safety and peace. I think his being so comfortable has a lot to do with Jimmy Fallon as well. Jimmy really cares and loves BTS and all the members. There isn’t any agenda or hypocrisy. Jimmy too is as real as they come. When he laughs… he really laughs! Totally genuine. 🤭 Jungkook knows Jimmy would never put him in an uncomfortable position. So he gets to enjoy himself. Trust is key and for BTS it’s so gratifying and reassuring for them because it’s a rarity. Love to see them relaxed, comfortable and safe! 💜

I found it so funny when you said you were surprised they didnt cut the live of jk sleeping for 45 mins. He actually fell asleep before that for the first time completely unintentionally and that livestream was cut not long after we heard a snore lol. He started this particular live stream saying he was sturggeling to fall alseep and he eventually did with us watching . It was really endearing💜

Being able to speak, sing and carry a conversation in English which is not his native tongue just testifies to his intelligence and his determination to please the Armies whom he loves very much!

They have a great relationship with Fallon. There's a trust there in knowing Fallon is willing to be patient and accommodate them with the English and with the hidden translator. It feels like they can be less guarded around Fallon.

JK did a great job. His English has really improved. He recorded an 11 song album all English in three months. He recorded 1 song a day. When he is discharged from from the military, I expect him to do what he said he would do years ago. He will help RM with interviews. I don’t worry about those haters, they are jealous.

Jungkook did so well on the show, he was relaxed and confident, spoke well in English & Korean and he enjoyed himself, proud of him always ♥️

I just watched JK’s interview with Zane from Apple Music in Seoul right before watching your analysis. It posted at 1 p.m. EST here on KZfaq, and is easy to find. JK talked about preferring to live in the moment, with real attention, rather than worrying too much about the past or future. Also, he says he thinks about Army first, not just himself, while choosing what to do. I get such sweet vibes of spiritual ‘Be Here Now’, joy, & intuitive grounding from him…😊🥰😊 (Do psychologists ever study Transpersonal Psychology anymore? I hope it never gets lost…)💜

Of course he's nervous, but that's Jungkook's uniqueness that doesn't exist in other artists. His innocence, humility, and sincerity, are another side that is amazing than his grandeur and amazingness when he is on stage.

My first reaction was that he was poised and confident-he knows the album is good and he is doing his best to promote it now. He is doing so well. The whole experience of being a BTS member has got to feel surreal. RM remembers it as a daydream.

the difference between eastern and western culture will never not be fascinating. you mentioned him taking his time with the english answers felt comfortable, but in our part of the world, most of us would probably see it as proof of being anxious and very very careful. speaking another language you're not fluent in is the most nerve wracking thing ever. he speaks faster and more confidently later on in the video, when he starts talking in korean again. super interesting !

JK was perfect, but Jimmy is also a good host: he makes sure his guest is comfortable. The interview was prepared, there were no nasty surprises sprung on JK and even the jokes and teasing were respectful. No wonder BTS mostly choose him now.

That was a great point you made: JK was not saying any words yet was still comfortable in his space; it was not an awkward silence on his part. The introvert has matured: still essentially an introvert but at peace with it. He has matured and attained the appropriate confidence. BTS members have always been comfortable with Jimmy Fallon and I think that is part of why JK was very at ease during the interview.

Yes, I think JK's confidence has soared. I think once he realized that some of those "scandals" (people put out there the past few years) have not stopped us from loving him, has helped. We don't care what his personal choices in life are... we just want him to do what he wants and be who he wants.

I love how you describe the way he portrays himself as fluid. Honestly, i think that the best word to describe him is free. He seems very self assured and is not really afraid of doing what he likes or trying new things (ie: bungee jumping, sleeping on camera, cooking, drumming, painting, etc) It's like the only person he can really ever disappoint is himself and i lowkey think he uses that to better himself

i'm so glad he's so much more comfortable with being himself. he's still a perfectionist and therefore kind of hard on himself sometimes but i've seen him grow immensely within the span of a year, he's more confident and unafraid to show his honest self and it is refreshing to see. 💜

I love your analysis (and your uncle’s too). After 10 years being in the public JK arranged himself with the situations he has to go through. Living alone since last year or so helped too. Jimmy is known as a true ARMY that was helpful too. It was so nice to see this interview, I really appreciate it, when there is such an energy. And yes, I watched the interview with Zane before too, very interesting!

Wherever ARMY is here, JK will be comfortable. He has a true relationship with us, as he prooved it many times on Weverse. Obviously there were a lot of ARMYs in the audience, so he wasn't out of his comfort zone.

He has come into his own during this solo chapter 2 period. While it might have been rocky at times and ARMY might have been concerned af times. He has gained a sense of comfort in himself. He is growing and that is amazing to see. Especially while still being the same sweet, caring humble man he has always been. I love seeing the confidence instead of the nervous energy he had prior. Love or hate him. He has learned that the people who care about him and the people he cares about.. opinions are the only ones that matter to him now. Wonderful positive growth 💜

He's making an effort to learn English better. I think when he's better at English, his overall communication confidence would be boosted. If he speaks in Korean, he's more expressive and has really come out of his introverted self. 💜

JK is so comfortable with ARMY, whether on weverse lives or in front of tens of thousands of us. He has worked with Jimmy before several times with BTS, and the man has always treated them in a warm, friendly, and respectful manner. Jungkook trusts him. He is very shy when he is with people who are not ARMY, you can see this when he attends events where the general public is the main audience. He can generally handle that kind of crowd when he is with his members. He has come a long way and im so proud of him. In a recent interview, Jam Republic, the female dancers who worked with him.on 3D, said that JK was very sweet and kind and shy.

I would be very interested to see your reaction to Jungkook’s Apple interview, which I watched just after viewing this reaction. It’s very different dynamic. Jungkook not as showman, but answering thought provoking questions about his origins in music and where he sees himself now. It’s hard to believe when watching it that it was done through the intermediary of an interpreter, as it flow so naturally.

You should do the jk interview with apple music with zane lowe. It’s one of the best interview bar none. You could almost feel jungkook through the screen

I would be stilted trying to communicate in Korean, not bc I would be nervous necessarily but more bc I was having to focus on getting across what I want to say & I feel like natural rhythm & charm is hard pressed to come across under those circumstances. I’m proud of how well JK did.

i realized jungkook's demeanor in interviews is always the same. he's very attentive!! which is surprising to me tbh. idk if this has anything to do with him but, he's definitely a introvert and coming from a introvert myself I've always had issue with holding eye contact with anyone male or female and i can't help it, i still don't know why i do it... but i mean he is a professional artist so he does this for living doing interviews etc.. so it's expected of him (to be attentive). anyway it's just fascinating to me how well he holds eye contact. another thing to add i'm a very observant person and i see that in him.

Honestly i've been following Jk for sometime and i really think he would be such a comfort person or a great person to hang out with him. I wish he is my friend.

I haven't seen the video yet, but by looking at the comments some people said that he looked nervous about his english speaking skills. But I think that is normal because he is doing it alone without the members on a talkshow which could've made him nervous and since RM always did speak for them, the pressure the members had or the nervousness they may had before doing the talkshow would've calmed down by a lot but since JK is on his own now and i'm sure it's been a while since he was on his own doing things like talkshows and interviews so it would be understandable if he might come over as nervous or shy

But what I sincerely appreciate the most is that you have taken the time and trouble to learn how to pronounce his name correctly! It is really dismaying to me that so few journalists, interviewers, and hosts do that. Whoever is learning a second language knows this, that we try to say the words in our minds first to check if it would sound correct, only then we speak them out loud. That's why we all have to be patient when speaking to visitors from abroad. He does that little waiting in his head, but it's kinda fun and cute to see.

For those of you who criticize his English, he does not talk in English all the time which is not his Mother tongue. Lionel Messi speaks in his Mother tongue all the time in interviews. If you don't speak any foreign language as Jung-Kook does on this kind of TV program, please do not criticize.

He was really nervous with BTS because RM always was monitoring them making sure they don't mess up or say the wrong things. He feels comfortable now because he has experience and don't need RM anymore and he can be more himself.

I guarantee you he was nervous no matter how confident he seems. Any member who has had to do individual promotions has felt the void of the other members (as Jk puts it). They are use to doing these things as a group. However this just speaks to how professional Jk and the rest of the members are. That no matter what they do or where they go they are elite in their professionalism. Plus they like Jimmy and they are comfortable with him. That’s why Jimin and Suga chose to go on his show too. I think Jimmy is genuine with them and knows how to make them feel comfortable. Also, Armys are always able to comfort and give energy to the members. Once they know Armys are there it lifts their spirits. I’m so proud of Jk. He’s doing so well on his individual promotions. Im sure you found out that this isn’t the first time BTS has been on his show, they were interviewed by him at least twice and performed several different times on Jimmy Fallon show in person and prerecorded LIVE Stages during the pandemic, so they very familiar with jimmy’s personality and how he is. *Have you checked out SUGA and JIMIN solo interviews on Jimmy Fallon yet?* As well as been on James Corden, The Ellen Show and Late Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, Today Show, Good Morning America, Music Award Shows, etc.

I was hoping you’d react to this!! I also noticed in the beginning that it took a while for him to began speaking and it didn’t seem weird. I also noticed how he seemed very calm and maintained such a great posture throughout the interview which to me reflected his confidence.
