It’s the best reaction video on KZfaq as far as I’m concerned and I stan BTS reactors. Seen thousands of them (I’ve got the screen time and battery analytics to prove it, lol!) so I know a good reaction video when I see one. Jimin's solo performance, wearing a modernized hanbok just fastened by ties only, had many different dance elements in it! Including the barrel leaps taken from Korean dance elements, some martial arts elements, of course contemporary dance, & Jimin's amazing scarf work, which is alone so hard to master, without getting that ever so thin veil of a scarf all tangled! Jimin somehow was able to make the scarf one with himself, using it as an extension, even at one point when he did that amazing jump leap straight up the scarf becoming his wings!! Jimin's whole performance was so amazingly stunningly beautiful. Just so effortlessly breathtakingly mesmerizing to see!!!! 😱😇😍

At the mikrokosmos part, I read "Nakupenda" in swahili it means "I love you". I'm Kenyan and I really cried when I saw my language represented there. Solidified my status as an Army. 💜

While your introduction I was scrolling through the comments and someone said to take notes and provide answers. I did. So here it comes (army just exaggerate as bts): - first of all: not all of this ~40 min stage was live. There were parts that were pre-recorded, which is a blessing, especially cause it would be cruel to take those horses on stage while playing music this loud and with so many ppl around. There were focus cams around, but they got deleted. From what I remember, was a little part of RMs persona stage transition to boy in luv, mikrokosmos completely, jks solo (edit) and the dionysus part with those ppl walking in +horses pre-recorded, till the moment the camera cuts to the whole crowd with their light sticks showing (if you look really close you can see that there are no ppl and horses on stage). - second: bighit really flipped the bird towards grammys. Even tho we only knew about one week before mma that they are not nominated amd with this normally wouldn't have the chance to perform as well. I'm pretty sure bang pd was sure they won't get a nomination and planned to go wild on this mma performance. A little side info: it took 3 month preparation, 270 staff members, 170 stage performers, 30 additional makeup artists, 218 costumes and a lot more to make this stage happen. (there is an article on soompi with a lot of interesting information) - persona: lyrics by RM, pdogg and hissnoise, produced by hissnoise. I read an article of how the mots p album was made and in this interview RM explained quite detailed how persona was created. He got the beat and went back to his song "what am I to you" (btw one of my favorites from their skool trilogy - edit: dark an wild isn’t from skool trilogy but the following album. “What am I to you“ just has the school bells in the beginning so I got that mixed up) cause that kind of vibe is his thing. (wonderful article by hypable) he also talks about the MV - the "schoolboys" setting is the same as in their school luv affair preview (they even sit on the same spots) and the song which is playing is "what am I to you" from dark and wild album. - the finger guns are bts signature move, you'll see them do that earlier on in their career when they introduce themselves. It's also just the end pose of boy in luv. In boy with luv they change the finger guns to the sign language gesture for ILY/I love you. - the "other idol artists" in this case are TxT, big hits other boyband - yes, their inears and mics are matching colors. They even got earpods gifted in these colors in their summer package video. Those mics are decorated with Swarovski crystals and the colors are RM - blue, Jin - pink, Suga - black, J hope - red/silver (he changed it at some point. I'm not sure about the current color) , Jimin - golden (they covered it with a bandana at their arab concerts!), V - green and Jungkook - purple. Their inears have usually some graphics on them, like the bts sign or SG for sugas. They gifted Halsey her own custome made Swarovski mic for Christmas. - the song that's playing while RMs narration is "the truth untold" - mikrokosmos was pre-recorded (but army still did the fanchants while the VCR was shown) and the words which were displayed are "I love you" in different languages. (also its a song for bts and army, as they together are each others own galaxy) - their shadows are surrounded or filled with hints/references (eg sugas fire, jin - fake love scenery) to their hyyh story/wings short films. I would recommend to watch that storyline and/or even read the webtoon. - the lights that came down when they performed their solos are arranged as the star constellation called "the northern crown" (there is a greek mythology towards this crown, it was ariadnes crown and she was dionysus wife) - the members represent greek gods: V - Apollon, Jin - Ares, Suga - hephaistos, Jimin - Artemis, Jungkook - Poseidon, J hope - zeus, RM - Dionysos. Btw are their characters in the hyyh storyline connected, eg jungkook saves suga from the fire. - a side note on my behalf : when I watched these solos, I was so grateful that they gave each of the danceline members a choreo that fitted their own styles. And I cried while jimins performance. It also feels like jk finally found his own style. -Vs song was no more dream - Jins song was danger - Jimins song was the piano version of I need U, which was first used in the puma advertisements. - sugas song was a remix of dope (jjeoreo!) and fire/burn it up - jks song is a remix of save me and I'm fine, as we hear water at the beginning of I'm fine, imo. - J hopes song was Fake love - RMs song was dionysus, obviously. I know this is not a nice fact, but RM hit his jewels with the thyrsus... As Jin said, RM is an example for gods fairness... IQ148, but so clumsy. Yet one of the most amazing ppl walking this earth. - they changed the dionysus choreo cause members kept getting hurt. Also V wasn't too eager about the back roll from the table and got also injured while doing it on this very stage. - Jimins chair got put underneath his booty so late, that he was sitting in the air for quite a time, yet it's only seen in fancams! - you're talking about their stamina. J hope is known as the one with the lowest stamina. And while they don't show it as long as they are one stage you practically see them collapsing as soon as the lights go out. There are fancam recordings of this stage where J hope looks like he's gonna pass out. We see in one of their movie documentaries (I am not sure but I think it was burn the stage...) that they get oxygen as soon as they are backstage. They exhaust themselves so much on stage that their bodies can't keep up by themselves. I respect and love them a lot, but I think that this is not something we should admire so much. - my favorite part were the solos, cause those were awesome and I really love the remixes. I was on the edge of my couch, almost passing out cause I stopped breathing. Borahae :) (edit: I deleted the last point about their 2020 tour and jins enlistment as we don't know if he will enlist (no statement from bighit yet and he asked to not speculate about it as it is a sensitive subject) and if there will be any concerts (because of the corona virus) this year.)

No matter how many times I watch this performance, I'm just speechless. And Jimin's?? That gets me shaking everytime. I NEED U was my first BTS song and so it holds a special place in my heart and with Jimin being my bias, his intro just ended me. The dance break in Dionysus still makes me so hyped. Honestly, BTS are the best performers alive.

Honestly, all 7 of them were amazing in this and I got chills watching each of their performances, but DAMN, jhope really shined the brightest there, he was mind blowing

The mikrokosmos performance was pre recorded earlier: they typically have a prerecorded song (like airplane pt 2 last year) in order to prep the stage for the main performance.

From someone that listens to all types of music around the world and appreciates unforgettable performances, this was not an over the top show; It was an A++ performances. BTS gave their fans EVERYTHING because their fans give them Everything!!!! We in the US are so lacking in quality artist, award shows and performances. We (USA) do not have shows like this any longer because the outstanding quality of performances and artists are not being signed. I listen to more KPop, K hip Hop and K R&B because these newer artist suck. And this comment comes from someone in their 40s. USA, get your acts together.

Love every minute of RM. When you see his teeth, you know he is out to kill. His voice remains one of the most recognizable voices to me in music and public speaking in the last 5 years. RM has to be in the top 10. All the BTS members made me feel so proud. I was in tears. It is unbelievable how strong they have grown and still remember the little things with ARMY.

It was amazing how they have the cues spot on for the entire 37mins. The lights perfectly timed and graphics on the back screens. The fire and all the transitions... Amazing.

There is just so much meaning in Dionysus in general!! the fact that they took the Greek gods theme to the max just kills the stage. But i wish people would look further then just the wine aspect. Dionysus is the Greek god of theater as well, not to mention Partying. But truly what i love is Dionysus is the god of madness, meaning that he drove people mad (hence the god of Booze). When BTS hits any stage, they drive Army's and mortals into madness by just being. P.S. the blow up leopard is because that was Dionysus's symbol/animal.

The galaxy effect during Mikrokosmos is something they did in the production room, only the people watching the broadcast on TV saw that. The people in the stadium saw it on the screens only. Oh and the VCR at the beginning and the one in the middle (the video interlude) is a HUGE hint about their next album! Also, THIS. THIS is why they won artist of the year, song of the year, album of the year and record of the year! They did not come to play. (this is also why the award show was 4hrs and 15 minutes long!)
