The heart of the Buddhist teachings can be found in practicing the Noble Eightfold Path. It is a guide for us to follow if we want to walk the path of awakening and enlightenment. It consists of eight trainings that can be summarized into three parts: the training of wisdom, morality and meditation. It is a holistic practice in that all the eight trainings are interrelated and each is as important as the other. The Noble Eightfold Path involves the practice of Right View, Right Intention, Right Speech, Right Action, Right Livelihood, Right Effort, Right Mindfulness and Right Concentration.
Buddhism is often referred to as a philosophy or a way of life. In this video I explain how the Noble Eightfold Path can be integrated into our lives to help us lead a happier life that incorporates the Buddhist principles of peace, compassion and wisdom.

I have been watching your videos over and over for some time now learning and trying to implement the Buddhas teachings in my life because of your great way of explaining. my wife told me the other day how much I have changed and how happier I seem. a friend told me I seemed so peaceful and at ease. I have never been as happy as I feel at this point in my life. Thank You Mindah. Thank you so much. You are a great and wise teacher.

Buddhists simply failed to research Indian Buddhism. They looked at Buddhism through the sphere of their own cultures searching for only the Buddha. I've listened to the Four Noble Truths Video and now this one. Excellent. So clear and practical. I chant and mediate. It has changed my life. I believe in a Karma to a certain extent meaning I do not believe in reincarnation. I am a Christian as strange as that may sound. Incorporating Buddhism into my Christian practice has enhanced my spirituality in ways I never imagined. Thank you for this teaching. I look forward for hearing more.

Hello Arica, Thanks for sharing. I'm an American and a Christian who has lived and taught in Thailand for the past 3 years. It is good to know that with Christianity spreading to Europe and the New World that Buddhism took hold in the east where it could serve as a moral compass for people's lives. And the teachings are similar to the Ten Commandments and Christ commandment to love others as oneself. It makes sense and I can see how you can utilize facets of Buddhism in your daily life. I appreciate your comment very much

Thanks Tracy. Compassion is a part of Buddhism that resonates with me a lot. If people allow Buddhism to remain purely theoretical and don't let it touch their hearts, then they're missing one of the most beautiful aspects of it. :)

Excellent simple, clean and calming teaching embodying the teachings of Buddha....One definitely feels her right intention! Thank You. Thank You Mindha for your pure sincerity and peacefulness in clearly communicate the marvelous 8 fold path of the of the Most Blessed Gautama Buddha. You not only expound but embody the deep peace that the Buddhas teaching can bring. I have found that the 8 fold path is a perfect blue print to solve any problem or situation. I don’t remember the first time I realized I wanted to practice mindfulness. But ever since I did, I was more at peace and slow to anger. It feels really good. I just wish I’ve made the realization sooner.

You don't need to become a Buddhist all you need to do is read the philosophy if it strikes you then you're a Buddhist but you can be something else at the same time there's no god in Buddhism

You explained everything perfectly. I have read the heart of the Buddha's teachings by thich naht hanh and you basically just read straight from the book, but instead of your words coming directly off the pages of Mr hanhs book, I could tell that it was from your heart as well. I have tried meditating a few times in my life. Did not understand what may become of it and gave it up rather easily. I am new to studying Buddhism. I sure like the guide lines that have been simplified and written down. I am attracted to it. I have a long way to go as I am one of the least disciplined persons on earth. "practice" that is a new concept to me as I have learned to be a couch potato. I really like this extended look at the 8 fold path. I typed something up for myself to have as a Handy tool. I needed this extended version. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. I look forward to exploring more of your videos.

I really like your example of identifying with other sentient beings in familial terms, such as mother and father, to recognize the common ties we have. I like to do this too with those around me in my community, silently thinking "hello brother" or "hello sister" when passing by strangers in town or at the market place.

"It's said that 'Our mind's true nature is one of love, peace, and wishing others happiness.' (5:48) This line struck a chord in me because it shows one of the main distinctions between Western and Eastern thought. In Western religion Nature is corrupt, something to be corrected. In Eastern religion, Nature is divine, and bringing oneself back into accord with it is the goal, practice to end "dis-ease." Re-ligio, "re-linking" back to one's true nature, true self. This line reminded me of that, and I wanted to notate it. :)

@Melchior Magni The point of hard work is to discipline mind until it becomes efortless,buddhism is a thing for real because by living your true nature daily,by expirience,you cultivate spirit,actually correct saying is you recognize,some say remember cause you actually feel it as something you dont learn but recall as yourself,and then all mind ideas,projections,troubles fall off,thats why they call it hidden nature,until it is reveil,until you brake spell mind create,it is hidden.Once patterns of mind,habbits,thoughts,reactions etc.. you see as not real,as story,something which repeats itself and something which is keeping you in prison,which does not have life,when you recognize in daily life situations,mind is living on your energy,like parasite some say,you dont give importanse on mind,it will pass.Buddhism is real thing cause of karma also,doing good and getting back good,whatever you plant you get.Recongizing mind as illusory and reveiling "hidden nature" is daily practise,it looks east but more you go deep,you will see how mind has strong equipments,it plays dirty,and then again buddhisam is great cause of non-attachment and witnessing.Its easy to explain,practise is all we need.Hidden wont always reveil or it tends to reveil when it wants not when we tend,i recommend Ramana Maharashi and Nisargadata and Mooji,their truth pointers are outstanding,thats real living wisdom shared through words.Also the thing about the truth is when you make it a mind pattern you loose it,if you cling you loose it,if you try to catch it you loose it,but if you let it show you,it will work out for you,as long mind is clean.So discipline and clean mind,then everything happens actually naturally,meditation happens naturally..Sry for long post 👌😅

Just for other people to know, in Western religion, or at least in Christianity, "nature" is not corrupt. After all, in the Book of Genesis as God was creating the Earth and nature the phase, "And God saw that it was good" is repeated at every change. Nature was created good, although that is not necessarily the viewpoint now. Nature is a creation of God, not divine in itself. If anything, believing that Nature is divine, is more of a pagan naturalist belief, not really a Buddhist belief.

Its excellent work. Please allow me to interrupt. I feel Buddhists should know this. I do research on how Buddhism disappeared in Bihar. I realized it never disappeared from Bihar. Buddhists simply failed to research Indian Buddhism. They looked at Buddhism through the sphere of their own cultures searching for only the Buddha. Buddha had a myriad of names in different villages according to his teachings there. Example. His favorite teaching was 'Lust and desire causes pain. Remove lust and desire, and pain is removed'. Translated into Bihari (where the Buddha story took place) it is DHUKH HARAN meaning to remove dukha. Three dozen villages pray to DUKH HARAN Baba. Its clear that DUKH HARAN Baba is none other than the Buddha. Problem is Buddhists are searching only for the Buddha. In the real Vaishali the Buddha begged for alms. The locals there pray to 'BHIKHAINI' Baba (Beggar Baba). Bhikhaini was mispronounced by Buddhists as Bhikshu. Who is BHIKHAINI Baba. The Buddha no doubt. But people are searching for a man called Buddha. In the real Vaishali, in Beluha the Buddha suffered a sickness and felt he had grown old. The locals pray to 'BURHA' Baba (Old Baba). Who is BURHA Baba. The Buddha no doubt. In the real Vaishali the Lichavies pressurized Buddha not to die. They trailed him to Bandagawan pressurizing him not to die. To put pressure in Hindi is DABESHWAR. Three dozen villages around the stupa where Buddha gave the Lichavies his patra, the villagers pray to Baba 'DABESHWAR NATH' meaning the man who won the pressurizing game. It was the the Buddha no doubt as he gave the Lichavies his patra and succeded in sending them back. But Buddhists are searching for the Buddha. Forgive me for commenting out of the topic. I just wanted to impart this information to you.

Guan Yin Citta is a Buddhist dharma door which has blossomed across the globe from Asian countries to Europe with around 10 million Buddhist believers and cultivators currently. .Good video for those who seek the basis. Searching for Buddha's wisdom videos with 'elderly bald men in cloths 'catch the attention. However this young lady explanes the 8fold paths very clear with personal exmples and fresh interpretation, While sometimes, elderly 'monklike types' give a adry traditional speech, leaving the listner non the wiser,,. Well done.
