Good job mate! I will be attempting my chop after watching your video.

How did it go? Did you ever end up chopping it?

I just bought a XB and the previous owner attempted to do this to the tail. But instead hacked it up pretty good. After watching your video, I know how I’m going to approach it to fix it. Thanks

just trimmed up the tail-seat back-end on my s2 buell--should of made a small vid of it because it kinda came out quite good in the end!

Came out nice! Did you respray in the OEM color?

I always found it weird how the side rails don't match the color of the center seat frame, but either way I'll paint the three of them black and probably the wheels next, followed by some engine covers and the plates at either side of the fly screen just above the headlights. Everything black.

Can you buy these already chopped? Would like to save the original part.

Do what I did buy a used one off Ebay to cut and keep the original

You can buy them already chopped... I had bought one for my last XB, it was years ago so I can't remember the brand name but I believe I found it on ebay and paid like 150$... It was good but I figured I could just cut it myself for free since the last (original) one never went on the bike but collected dust for years.

Cutting the original is free... Where did the word chopper come from?🤔
