Ty for the detailed video...single mom so definitely appreciate the money saving. My 2012 is blowing hot and cold so hopefully a recharge will help

Your video saved me time and money! Bought a can with a longer hose, but- yeah- Florida in July is quite unpleasant without air, so it motivated me!

People don’t realize that. Basically run from the house to the car. And car to the a/c indoors. Some don’t comprehend humidity

STP has a similar bottle with an almost 20 inch line that will help. I just found mine I've had for a year and watched your video to see where the hookup is on my '11 enclave. Thank you for the content! Now to find another video to fix my climate actuator on my driver's side since blowing hot when AC is on. Fun times!

Thanks, I was having a hard time finding the low pressure line on my '12 Enclave. It's funny they got the High Pressure valve right up and in a spot that would be convenient, and the friggin' low pressure is down low near the oil filter, which is also a PIA when changing the oil because it's right above the cross member. Mine didn't have the flashing light, but I could tell that it wasn't cooling as good as what it was before. I checked it, it's sitting around 23 PSI. I decided to let things cool down for a couple hours before I go add the refrigerant as my arms were getting burnt from the various components nearby.

My 2015 Enclave has the low side port facing downward and next to impossible to connect the regualar type hose you get with these recharge kits, and there is NO room to get your hand in from the bottom. I used a longer hose with adapters to connect to the can's hose, and a 1 ft piece of 3/4" plastic electical conduit between the quick connect and extension hose to push on the connector to the port.

Have 2014 and will see if is the same issue

Take off the regulator at center top of radiator, two bolts, set it aside, no need to unplug, gives you way more room to get your arm down there.

Couldn't see it at all on my folks' 2012, but this vid got me close enough to feel for it. I was able to hook up the gauge and line, then screw the recharge to the gauge and fill it. My arm was shoulder deep in the engine compartment to reach it.

Video should be titled 'How to kill your compressor.' While the air conditioner is running, you must not inject liquid freon as it could cause a hydrolock. The tank should be positioned with the valve upwards.
@SammyEddieАй бұрын
So how do I do it?
@vf36918Ай бұрын
@@SammyEddie In this situation, it is necessary to connect the hose from under the car without overturning the tank, or to buy an additional long hose so that it can be done from above.
@SammyEddieАй бұрын
@@vf36918 ok. Ive done it and i did it from below. So i did it right. Thanks.

So you add it with the air off?
@SammyEddieАй бұрын
@@JennyLoYo if you dont have the air on it wont circulate therefore it wont be able to take the contents of the can and put it in the system. Hopefully someone will comment other than me. Im just a guy whos had to work on cars because i cant afford shops! Ha.

I bought the rear ac block off plates via Amazon for about $16 and it came with the hardware and seals. I added some pag oil to them. I also put some pag oil with the UV dye into the front lines that is about $12 because the 134 A freon with UV dye is around $30. Also a flash light with a black light for around $16 from Walmart of All places. That black light will show where you have a leak as it shows up neon green. In my case it was the discharge hose from the condenser down to the compressor. It was around $28 with a new pressure switch and seals. That UV dye wether in pag oil or freon is coin well spent. Just remember if you add too much oil and your pressure are right it may not cool as well. You can always hook up the hose and let some oil out not having a can installed by hitting the trigger. Someone inside can beep the horn when it starts spitting ice cubes helps.

My husband found an evaporator coil leak in our 2010 Buick Enclave with 181k miles. Should we just sell it? We bought it for $4250.
