Nice work! The only thing to remember is that sprocket will wear down and need to be replaced you may want to make an adaptor! Or, Get another bike rim just like the one in the back and put it in the front!

Amigo te quedo buenísimo felicitaciones, pero con un motor de 800w o mas y una batería de mas potencia(Amp.) te daría mas poder, pero en si, esta muy bueno el proyecto.

Muy buena idea. No se si la controladora que lleva incorpora un sistema que cuando apritas el freno desconecta la alimentación de la bateria... asi ayuda a frenar mejor, en caso de que se le pueda olvidar al niño desacelerar. Si no se podria implementar algo que al apretar el freno corte la alimentación (como con algun interruptor, etc. Saludos.

what provision is there to take off the front tire if a repair is needed. looks like you have to undo the chain, the motor should have been made to swivel to easily change the tire.

You should have used freewheel on motor shaft to avoid extra burden on pedal force due to cogging. The little angle has to apply more force when driving on pedal to counter motor cogging force. The freewheel on motor shaft will disconnect motor rotation when bike moves on pedal force.

I would have placed the motor above the wheel to gain better balance and less exposure of wiring to moisture and possable snags on bike racks, etc. A one way bearing could be beneficial for not driving the motor while peddeling.

If you able to attach the electrical generator to the bicycle now you do not have to recharge the battery.

Pouch bag could catch fire once the battery and electronic components inside start to overheat. Water can get inside the drilled bike frame and corrode the steel frame from the inside.

I think a flat grooved belt would be less noisy with a spring loaded tensioner like a washing machine off course using a much bigger pulley on the wheel . It would be more durable and smoother on the ride and dampen the kick of the throttle . The chain and sprocket wont last long it ll become slack very soon.

Le pire c'est que c'est à la portée de tous (ou presque) et pas cher mais en France on ne peut pas rouler sur la route avec des vélos motorisés fabriqués maison. On est obligés d'acheter un vélo déjà motorisé ou adapter son vélo avec un système homologué. Sans homologation c'est interdit. 😭 Merci pour la vidéo. C'est un joli projet bien réalisé. 👍

you can drill and bolt the motor on and the sprocket can be mounted to the spokes using rubber pads, bolts, washers and nuts.

Man I built a bike from scratch using metal poles and bolts no welding and I just finished a small frame for electric bike it’s easy just do it

@@pachurpants spend a hundred dollars on a welder where? harbor freight is 140 plus tax for a junk chicago. i had one, it was pure junk. i purchased a lincoln 135, then the bottle, gas and wire ended up a little over 1K. not everyone can afford to buy certain tools just for small projects, a drill is around 50 dollars and works just fine. and best of all, you can disassemble bolted on parts if they go bad, no need for a grinder and more welding.

@@josealvarado1378 yep, when i moved to where im at now, all my tools were in storage, with me i brought an 11 pc socket set, vice grips, drill, drill bits, sawzall and allen wrenches, i built a buggy from an electric scooter using just those tools, the video of cruising around it is on my channel.

What do you use to recharge batteries: dinamo mounted on bike or external battery recharger?? Clever idea, though it's better if they bicycle away using their muscles and then if needed (tired) come over to the motor Saludos = cheers

@@DIY.Invented hi. He is congratulating you for a nice job. I am also converting an old mountain bike i picked up from the scrap yard and it has aluminum rims. I switched them to my mountain bike ( although old it's still good and free too) so i used the rims from my mb to do the conversation and i Had found in the alley an old 1977 3 speed sears brand 27 inch bike. So from all three bikes I made one. I used the 3 speed system and switch it to the 26 inch rim removing all the spokes with a drill and then reinstalling then one by one using another rim as guide. Well i did this back in the 80s when I was flat broke to fix a bike to go-to work. I'm using a scooter starter and just waiting for a sprocket to arrive. What's best of all in this video is your little's girls smile. Take care and kuddos . I'm a welder too.

One question about this?... It doesn't have a freewheel right?! So does this type of motor free wheels or does it stop the bike if you don't turn the throttle or run out of battery?
