Күн бұрынsherline has radius cutter already. and it is reasonable price. but i decided to make own radius cutter very unique design. i don't know that cutter working good or failed. but i'll try to as possible as my ability. watch my project and i hope to enjoy my video.

Well, working on a lathe of any size with gloves and long sleeves is very bad idea. And touching in gloves and long sleeves rotating parts / slowing down chuck is pure hazard.)

In some situations I use gloves as well, they are special for this purpose, any way in all moment we must have to the all atention these machine require.

Nice to see what the Sherline lathe can accomplish and some good hacks there... Can the headstock allow passthrough with a spider at the rear? Looking the crown some airgun barrels and wondering if it would be a good fit...

I love to work with brass. Easy to machine with great surface finish. I hope you remove the live centre before parting through the part. You can use the stead rest to support instead.

I never knew verniers are used to scribe lines on material while the chuck is spinning!

They can be cheaper than a sturdy set of dividers, and are easier to set. You wouldn't do it with your Mitutoyo.

What's the smallest radius you can cut with this tool? Can you do, let's say, a 0.2 mm radius?

Mirager, 0.2 mm radius impossible? You are wrong brother. Mine can do it - convex or concave! And afterwards I can use some of the parts of my radius cutting tool to do absolute 90 degrees tapping. It was designed for the purpose!

@@makenchips Hi brother, I will firstly have to acquire a camera to make a video. At this stage I'm busy with numerous different projects, including a CNC milling machine with a two meter bed. I most certainly intend to do videos to share with the brothers. Have a great day.

@@artworkbyjohn3254 Two weeks ago I took a photo of the wiring connections of an electric motor at my friend's place - result: could not make out which wire goes where. Quality is just seriously poor.

2:08 get yourself some degussit stone to remove all possible burrs on a flat face. Or maybe you already have one or similar because this video is 6 years old :P
