Great stuff, blood work is so vital especially many over 60 to see where you need help but also to see if other diseases are being caught early… ie; cancers

I'm 54 and can't wait to be over 40😁😁😁 great vid but mindset has a lot to do with things too. Also mobility and balance work need to be in there. The point on going to bed early is huge imo. I go to sleep at around 8.30 and wake at 4.30. Im an 8 hour guy. This is the single best thing I've ever done in my life.

Very interesting to hear another weightlifter/powerlifter mention eFGR. Most will disagree with me, or give me a thumbs down, but I'll tell my story anyway. I started competition powerlifting when I was 53 and I'm now 61. I daily consumed a reputable company's protein shakes and took creatine regularly. Luckily by going to the veterans association regularly and getting blood tests, they tracked my eFGR. Unfortunately I was not notified earlier nor did I educate myself, however I found myself with CKD3 and luckily now that I have stopped these products and learn to control my diet better and limit my protein, I have moved back up to CKD2. My point is that eFGR and things with blood tests can tell you things you don't know is going on inside your body. Luckily I am now more educated on what supplements can do to certain people. As I said I'll probably get a lot of pushback from this but I can't argue with the evidence of what happened to my body and the improvements I've had by stopping certain things and changing certain items. Just saying....

Forty isn't bad. It's 45-50 that seems like it's getting hard fast. You see some NFL players who played into their 40s. Not too many past 45 though.

I switched to an expensive shampoo that is free of all those chemicals you warn about. It seems expensive compared to most shampoo but the bottle lasts a long time so its only 30 cents a day extra to use this stuff.

On soy, I know Layne Norton has discussed studies showing that it doesn’t really impact our manhood hormones; but before I’d ever heard anything about whether or not soy affected one’s hormonal department, on three different occasions I got 6 reps out of sets which should have yielded 10-12 reps. Questioning myself about what could have screwed up those sessions, the common denominator had been tofu the previous evening (and which I hardly ever ate). The findings of those studies sure don’t apply to me. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤣

I would bet on the information I learned from Poliquin way before any of these studies. It takes a keen eye to see the incorrect in the studies in which all have faults

It doesn't. It's a myth that came about not through studies, but through a meme ('soy boy'). Layne Norton is right. All the available studies show that it doesn't affect testosterone. The lack of scientific evidence is why people always use anecdotes and start making personal attacks when debating this topic.

I’m actually stronger at 50 than I was at 40. Been training for over 30 years. My natural test levels are higher now than they were at 40. Could be from less stress now.
