How to build oil pressure on cold start by applying a simple GM option when starting. Dont let your cold engine start with low oil pressure. Also when your baby has been sitting for a while. Step on the brake and gas pedal. Press the start button when you get desired oil pressure release the gas pedal. Also when you change your oil and want to get oil to desired parts. Thanks

This is called “flood clear mode.” This mode was not designed to “build oil pressure” before starting. You’ll just wear out your starter doing this every day. I’d suggest an Accusump if you’re that worried about it.

I should had added that part. When your car sits for weeks or months it can be good to get some oil going. Also when doing a new oil change with an empty oil filter. Thanks for the feedback

Not for daily use but if your car sits for some time and want to get some lubrication going prior to start. I know its for clearing fuel but can be handy or a new oil change too.
