Your the man, mutch love with one exception; don't be hating on my hot glue. Been using it for years on all sorts of electrical projects and is never damaged anything. I honestly can't see how it would but that goo stuff works almost as well

Can’t carry an action camera on the 2Fiddy and still be under 2fiddy. I respect Tommy and his build inspired mine. I think that more options will increase awareness and innovation.

You could throw an XM+ in there (1.6g). It's probably the lightest receiver with 2 antennae. I've taken them out to 3/4 of a mile and others report more distance with heroic antenna selection/placement. I suspect my radio might be just a tad over-amped.

Am I wrong or is the 5 inch experience a combination of thrust and weight? The 650g to 750g weight is what allows the quad to push through the air resistance at high speeds and the 5 inch prop just happens to be the size that has the right amount of thrust to throw the quad without being floaty because of too much thrust. I could be wrong. I'm no expert but that seems to make sense. Without the weight the experience might be gone.

That is why we pushed the limit right up to the max of 250g, rather than building a 2” ot 3” drone. The weight feels really good.

Hey Shawn sweet build!!!! Where can I get those M2 grommets that go through the frame? I need a pair of the frame grommets for a 1.5 mm thick frame. Do you know where to find them?

Hey Shawn sweet build !!!!! Question: Why is the top plate so shiny ? Especially at the end of the video when you attach it to the standoffs. Is that cyanoacrylate CA glue ? looks like you may be repaired it???

We beat the tar out of this frame, submerged it under bando juice water, and it still rocks on like the energizer bunny. Definitely not delicate. :)

I have the revised frame and I can't figure out which part of the frame is the stack side which is the back side? one side has deeper cuts where the stand offs go and the other side is flat? EDIT... I finished the build.. getting 3:21 flight time with no action cam on a 650mah 4S pack, but that's likely because I am doing a lot of throttle pumps and a lot for flip flopping.

Would it be fine to swap out the appropriate hardware to fly analog as opposed to digital? I imagine the answer is YES..but as a newb, i'm asking anyways

I have built a 5" which is 196g weight, and it falls under 250 regulation. But it runs on inav, it has a gps and mag and can safely rth. All what is going on here is about battery weight. I was able to reach 6 minutes flight time on an 450mah 3S SLS lipo 24 minutes on 4s cheap 2Ah liion pulled from cordless drill 31 minutes on 4s Sony vtc-6. I am not any good at taking nice video shots so this build will be behind the scenes. I should mention that it is not that freestyle quad but more long range-like, still it is under regulation and it is 5".

@@LetsFlyRC don’t really need one with DJI DVR, I hardly even use it on my regular 5” anymore, but could stay under 250 with GO 2 if you decased the Vista.

Instead of using shoe goo, use the ziptie holes to hold down the antenna instead of the camera cable

@@LetsFlyRC Not trying to take away from the man's efforts but the fact that one works hard doesn't invalidate criticism. I get that covid makes things difficult, I get that you're a business and for that purpose bad, pointless and/or unoriginal content still trumps no content, but it's sad to see. Fatshark/DJI commercial disguised as a top 5 list, managed to make a TWENTY FOUR minute video on how to push a stick forward or backwards(how to flip on DJI drone)? Seems reaching. The channel used to have less frequent but more original content, and it used to feature the TEAM, not 15% the team 85% Drew Camden. Even Vince McMahon knows when he's better off keeping his face off his own show, and Drew, knowing he isn't well received by a laaaarge portion of the community, should demonstrate that knowledge as the president of ANY entertainment-focused business would. And you guys got(had? not seeing him on the roster anymore) a beast like E-Rod and instead all we ever see is drew and bubby flying. What gives?

I don't have an identity yet, just bunch of ideas that I plan on carefully working into something more polished. This is a channel that was ALREADY huge, ALREADY amazing, and has just been going downhill since it lost it's best pilots. Why did it lose it's best pilots? I don't know, ask drew, he's running the show.

Please don't save weight on power lead wire heat shrink, at least use it on the positive wire so you don't short it against carbon! And I'd pay more attention to capacitor mounting, this is just asking for trouble. And those standoffs look too tall. Not a very elegant build overall.
