Building 3D Patterned Cutting Boards Part 1

This is the first half of my build process for 3D patterned cutting boards. I used maple, walnut & cherry and finished everything with mineral oil before sealing with beeswax.
Originally, I wasn't planning on filming this entire build. Just a clip here and there to post on the other platforms (Instagram/Tiktok). After a little ways into it, I realized I had been filming almost everything anyways and figured I'd go all in. I decided it was too late to switch to the horizontal 16:9 ratio that's ideal for KZfaq and and chose to stick with capturing everything in the 16:9 vertical ratio.

I've made quite a few cutting/charcuterie boards as a hobbyist woodworking enthusiast, but always just one at a time. I certainly appreciate the amount of experience, analysis, and planning that you have obviously put into your workflow. I've learned a lot from this video- thank you for sharing your process! Excellent Job! I make a lot of those but not nearly that many at a time. I think you have it figure out down to a science. I see that we have have the same problem with the size of the planer, I really need a larger planer and then I could do the assembly all at once. Love the edit, it's simple, concise, and all of the relevant steps without all of the fluff. Great Work!!

Awesome video!. I gave one a try but my little Dewalt 7491 doesn't seem to have enough jam to cut through the maple and walnut stacks for the 45s. I had to push too hard and am a little too sheepish to really push it. I'll try again if I ever get a beefier table saw.

First class video. The musicall beat was perfectly timed to movement and the portrait orientation help to focus on the activity. There just cannot be too many clamps in a wood shop.

Portrait orientation was pretty cool, actually! And the editing, holy cow - you sync'd up the work to the beat flawlessly. I bet the edit took as long as the build! Looking forward to part II...

Another incredibly entertaining video! Not that you're necessarily looking for one, but I would think that with the amount of glue, blades and clamps that you use over and over, and the entertainment value you bake into the videos, that you'd be able to snag a sponsorship. I realize that you have affiliate links with Titebond, Bessey and Freud but reach out and show them some of your high production value videos...you never know. Keep on truckin' man!!

Glad you filmed it. You answered a few of the questions already but the energy you put into that was incredible. How long were your days? I saw no one else so I guess you were by yourself. I retired 1.5 years ago and used to have head space like that to accomplish your task of making those boards. Great job

Beautiful work. Too bad in Brazil the tools cost so much. 3 of these sergeant staples, from good brands, even cost a minimum wage. The Dewalt DW 735, which is my dream and I can only get it by import, comes to me for two thousand dollars (R$ 11,000.00. The equivalent of 10 minimum wages. My car costs that.

In spite of my jealousy regarding the number of clamps you have (!), I've gotta ask: you left two strips out with the first main glue-up... was that to ensure you could run the sections through your thicknesser?
