Building a 2 family duplex with the new Sims 4 For Rent Expansion Pack! Thank you to the EA Creator Network for the early access! I love the concept of a duplex because the exterior can look like a normal single family home, but it's a more affordable way to fit 2 families in the home! I agree, I think an Expansion Pack should always come with a complete set of everything. Complete set of bedroom furniture, that includes matching double and single bed. Complete set of kitchen furniture with fridge, stove and hopefully we see a build-in microwave one day, why can't we layer our appliances into build-in kitchen cabinets? It is a thing irl after all. And lastly, complete set of bathroom stuffs and living room furniture. It is an EP, and it ain't cheap, we should be getting a full deal to create a complete home. Thanks for this lovely duplex, I look forward to grabbing it from the gallery and get well soon!

honestly, I love the like storyline ideas of changing a basement to a rental or multi-family home. feel like I've seen a lot of people building apartments already. keep doing unique home ideas. Also, I'm Canada Ontario and we have a lot of duplexes in my area as well!

I love the footprint of this house and and different layouts for each one, as if one bought a large home and turned it into a duplex! Very pretty. So far I like the pack. It feels more social driven than some of the others. I feel like no matter where you build, it will be nice. A lot of content creators are focusing on the new locale. So if you choose to build in other places, it will be appreciated I am sure.

Love this. I live in a duplex (both sides are similar but not exactly the same - except for square footage). I would love to see you build multi unit homes in all the worlds that match their aesthetic

I love this, it brings back memories. My Grandparents raised their 5 kids in a dup then eventually bought it and the house next door. They lived in the house and rented out the dup, did that for about 30 yrs. They were extremely strict with their rules. They pretty much raised me in that house also, I used to help fix up the dumps, my favorite was painting them. So maybe build some sort of rental, be it a dup or not, and the landlord live next door?

girl covid is in a nasty wave right now and every time you get it your immune system will get damaged even if it seems mild. that’s why so many people are sick all the time now even if it’s not covid-it makes you more susceptible to anything and everything. i’d test if i were you and mask when you go out-it’s not worth getting chronic/lifelong problems just to ignore it! love the build and hope you’re taking the time to rest ❤

So far I’m enjoying For Rent. So far I managed to put 2 houses on a 30x20 lot and made the basement of one of the houses into a additional unit which made it into 3 units in total.

Vancouver girlie represent 😅😅 Vancouver has so many duplexes in the more suburban areas, but apartments now in the busier parts of the city.

I have the pack and haven't even touched the new world or gameplay just yet, I've been too engrossed in using it to build various multi-unit lots in each world for my saves so I have more options for gameplay. I've seen so many speedbuilds of people enjoying making functional multi-unit lots, but I've primarily seen a lot of apartments and townhouses compared to other multi-unit types. I think it would be very useful for players if you did a series of making at least one multi-unit lot type in each world, maybe pack limited to basegame-ForRent-and the world you're building in, but also pack limited not a requirement just a nice option for some of the builds maybe. I also think this could be a good series because it could give players more options with extra variety in how many units the lots have; some people really want to play only with multi-generational builds to keep family members close, and others really want to use the new cheat to have more than the base 6-units to play around with. I don't know, there's so many options. I would just love to see even more of your gorgeous builds, Ashley. They're always so stunning. Loved this speedbuild btw, thank you so much for making it and uploading it for us all!

I would love to see some spacious multi-family lots. Like maybe with 3-4 units and some sort of nice common space. With like 1 or 2 empty to decorate ourselves. I attempted to build this and it was not nice looking at all. 😭 Also I hope you get well soon.

with the swatches issues what you brought up is true that it’s taking up valuable space in the catalog for people who own all the packs so it better be good but also works with the opposite, people who don’t have many packs getting an item with 4 swatches is just not justified

I don't think I'm buying this pack just so I can build apartments that will make my gameplay more difficult :))) But you did do amazing with the duplex! Duplexes are very often found where I live too, so it's really cool to see my favorite creator build one. Feel better soon 🫶🏻

Aww I'm sorry you are sick. I hope you had fun in Hawaii though! I was sick with a chest cold or whatever for 3 weeks. Finally went to the doctor and was given 3 prescriptions. People in Europe are complaining about this thing so take care of yourself!

As someone who has lived in multiple duplexes and does currently: I do not recommend moving into one unless you’re okay having strangely intimate spaces close to that of a strangers. You pretty much live with a stranger on the other side of one of your walls, and there’s no telling who that person is or how they’re gonna act until they’re already in a house with you. It’s uncomfy a lot of the time honestly

If you don’t leave your house you’re not gonna get sick, but then you don’t build a immune system.. So when you do leave your home you probably gonna get sick! Hope you feel better soon and thanks for uploading even though you’re not feeling well 🙏❤️

This particular build is completely vanilla because it was an early access version! I just go to my in-game settings and make sure to turn the graphics to the highest!

Don't worry Ashley, lots of people are getting sick! In general, a lot of our immune systems are weakened due to the isolation, mask wearing and disinfecting happening during the pandemic. So even just common colds hit people more easily and harder than usual! At the moment half my family is sick, several of my friends, myself and my partner!
