if you need more clearance up top you can run a valve cover from a crf450, they don't have a big hump on them

I grabbed a 04-05 rocker cover I had on the shelf. They don't have that big box on the top either.

Think bottom tubes will need to be cut out to clear 450 head . Good luck you get this . I'm working on yfz 87 lt250r hybrid.

I'd have to find a yz250 I could rob the engine from. That would be cool too. I have a bunch of blaster chassis so we will see. I'm definitely down for a build like that too

He used a 04-05 Trx450r motor, U can tell the difference between a 04-05 and 06-14 if u look at the oil sight glass and the timing chain tensioner. 04-05 oil sight is closer to the shift shaft and the timing chain tensioner is bigger than a 06-14.

I have the same nerf bars and oil tank have the same issue as you and was thinking about notching nerf bars as well but then I changed my mind and I think I’m gonna slot the tabs on the tank and maybe weld the original mounting hole in solid and see if that gets it high enough to not interfere with the nerfs just another idea for ya.

I know what your saying I was thinking that as well but the drain hole for the tank will be to sunk into the rubber grommet on the bottom, that drain bolt is also a mounting point

That's Emily's daughter. She is actually really good she just chills. She's far ahead imo I got her having full blown conversations, knows her abc's, counts up to 60.

@@garagemcmatt she’s super cute (counting to 60!!!! Daaaaang). My 3 yr old says his ABCs and counts to 20. Super impressive. He loves to wrench too, besides trying to put nuts and bolts in my tail pipe 😬😳

I would use 05 valve cover it’s not so high like 06+. I know your not using 05 motor but they don’t need oil cooler, I run a line that goes from one side to other.

Why not use a bracket that mounts to mounting location but goes up like a right angle bracket

@nicolecittadini4234 I have a 05 top end here. The 06+ cylinder is shorter too. I'm gunna need to figure out the top section. The rocker cover is gunna hit the gas tank
