There are a number of KZfaqrs who promote their ideas and concept as facts. There are a few very good knowledgeable KZfaqrs and you, Than, Coral Euphoria are a few that do the best job. Keep up the good work.

Tidal Gardens is an excellent resource channel for info on corals, the best ive seen so far. that guy has forgotten more than you or I will ever know!

The old LFS I had was always busy and no one was just sitting around. In fact, it was hard to grab someone to get service as they were mobbed by other customers with their wife, kids, etc. I think they served them first to get them out of the store. Sadly, as I started to get back into this; I learnt they have closed their doors. Don't know why it happened but it did. Now, there is two others but most of them are into Lizards and Snakes which is a red flag to me. So, am left with online store to get anything.

I have absolutely loved this series and I am now getting very close to copying you and following this process. I was wondering what you think about the Fluval EVO 5 as opposed to the 13.5? what would need to be different if using a smaller tank or do you strongly recommend against using a tank of this size? Also I would massively appreciate a video on adding and caring for soft corals , you seem the most insightful and upfront reefkeeper on youtube.

im in doncaster uk still not found any shops near i trust soon walk in bombarded with u kneed this u need that but fined 3 tanks floting fish uster use living world till that wen to crap

I watched your video before I set up my new tank, but was advised in my local shop to go down the instant cycle route. Wish I'd have listened to you, now having a nightmare of sky high everything. Ammonia at 2.5mg, now at 1mg and no3 at 30mg. Did a 50% change 2 days ago and added prime, going to do another 50% today. Poor fish must be miserable.

I have The Nano-reef HANDBOOK by Chris Brightwell , and would like to expand my library if there are other good ones to be had. Thanks so much.

I think it was this...iQuatics Ocean Reef Pro Coral Aquarium Salt.

TMC reef pro salt at the moment but any good salt is fine.

Im relatively new to the hobby and I'm trying to soak up as much knowledge as possible, I'm trying to understand how aptasia cannot survive on live rock during curing but all the other beneficial critters and bacteria can

Its simple phil an aptasia is basically a nuisance anemone which dwell on the surface of the rock if it isn't killed by drying out during initial transport it will be scrubbed off before the curing begins, and if it survives, the high ammonia levels during curing will kill it as it has a low tolerance. the worms, crustaceans etc that survive are able to take refuge inside the rock or are protected by calcareous tubes, they also have a higher resistance to ammonia. and the bacteria consumes ammonia as food so soon bounces back .
