Ah yes, the Tamiya F40. I built this kit back in 2006. Simple, but fun. I never used that primer before. Looks like a white primer to me? If so, if you have molded in color kits like that (red being the worst), then the molded in color has the tendency to bleed through the white primer. I typically use a few coats of gray primer first, sand it smooth, then follow it with a few coats of white primer. Sand smooth and base coat/clear coat.

i have very shaky hands too, learning to brace your arms and hands against the table and miniature was a big part of learning to paint for me

Any advice on how to mix the paint ratio tamiya laquar and tamiya paint I'm in useing cheep mini air compressor with about 30psi should I lower or is it high enough my paint just never a easy task I turn to the spray cans by tamiya sometimes on budget even though roughly little dearer but get double the amount of paint by going with rustolium

May I know what is the purpose of sanding the model after painting? I'm a sucker, just repainted my Transformers figures, I wonder if I sand my figure with 1000 grit sandpaper then polish it by rubbing with a cloth? Does it work?

Chan Yong Chuen gets rid of the texture from the paint being sprayed on. Wet sanding makes sure it doesn’t leave loose paint behind either.
