Pway huts and small details help add a more atmosphere to the layout. The building from Buntersyard looks great and a very great addition to the Model railway shunting layout.

You’re doing a jolly good job, Tris!! It’s going to be interesting to see what you do with it. You already have a plethora of interesting scenery on the layout!!

It's looking good. I like your way of gluing the beams to the roof of Bunter's Yard P-Way hut. Makes it easier to have a removable roof. I wish I had thought of that for mine!

A perfect-sized layout for inspiring others and learning the skills needed before moving on to a large layout, not everyone has the space so this is something we can all do without upsetting home life too much.

When i lived in the Sydney, on the main line where it branches out to the goods area there is an small building, in the front was a Garden with a stone built castle about a meter high, i always looked forward to that part of the journey , yep there's always a gardener

Hi Tris it’s looking good another great series, I enjoy all your videos, thanks. I have also started building a shunting layout in TT120, however it’s on hold at moment as I had an eye operation several weeks ago so waiting for my vision to come back, hopefully I can get back into it in a couple of weeks. In the meantime it’s you tube inspirations by you are others. Thanks

Another really informative video. I had assumed “dry brushing” was applying a weathering powder….. so another lesson learnt. This is by far the best series for beginners I have seen. Just brilliant 😀

Maybe add some ballast piles with grass growing through it when you add the line side detritus? I have done that on mine and also saw it on OTCM's new French layout. Looks very effective.

Excellent Tris. The plate layers hut looks good on the layout. What is next for the layout? - Nicholas.

That hut looks good, even better than the peco kits. Beside It you could add a stack of ties and plates and even small sections of rails with a track gang preparing for some track work ? And the gravel parking area is also a good idea that would allow to add a BR van or car for the crew... Either way, this layout is really taking shape nicely. Love this serie.

Hi Tris , nice weathering on the line side hut , maybe a pile old sleepers near the hut oil drums and general clutter , I’m no expert on point Levers but I think I’ve seen some on a sleeper type base .? Looking forward to the next video.👍

An appealing scene would be a stopped police car with lights flashing and two coppers confronting the hoddie lad!

Loving this layout, that bloke on the bridge looks a bit dodgy to me though!

Tris your ground signal should have a red stripe - in the position you have it, it is effectively a stop signal, hence the need to be red. A yellow ground signal is often used where there are two available routes. It doesn't need to be cleared and can be passed when the required route is to something minor, like a siding etc. Where a second route from the signal leads out to a running line, the signal needs to be cleared before it can be passed.

What to put alongside the pway hut. How about a ballast bin?

Tris....sleeper spacing isn't consistent with wooden sleepers. At the end of each track section, as well as at points, the sleepers get closer together for strength. If you've ever walked along a line on the sleepers you'd realise how annoying it is 😂
