Living full-time in my rolling tiny home has been the best decision of my life. Off-Grid living offers a peace and connection to life that you just can't explain. When i first started van life i build a stealth camper van with the mindset the you had to live a stealth van life and i soon discovered that you can just live the city van life and boondock in the countryside and as long as you are respectful of the backcountry and cities you live in. Stealth van life in not necessary. Be proud of the life you choose to live, Share this van life journey with everyone. Remember Tiny Homes and The whole tiny house lifestyle is very popular and #vanlife is no different. When you don't hide it people will come say hi and ask you questions. The world is more curious than hateful. Well......Welcome to my everyday van life adventures. My name is Chrome Valdez and i travel full-time with Cruz the bulldog. Stay weird everyone and thank you for being here.

That one day van build video is legend! Just started over in my box truck, everyon else is freaking out more about my living in it as I build it out way more then me. I can sleep, store food, wash up in a bowl, and have a Jackery for power hooked to panels on the roof. I have everything I need, the rest of the fancy stuff will come as I can afford it.

Happened once before, camped out in my Suburu wagon, along the Charles River, in Cambridge, MA. Didn't have requirements when asked by Transit Police . . . ergo, my homeless experience/chapter in my life began, in 1992. Finally escaped . . . with a HUD/VASH voucher . . . in 2014. I've since gravitated to my second residence . . . after multiple homeless shelters, in NW Washington, D.C. . . . jus must ALWAYS remember - 'We are all a few paychecks, from being homeless' ! 😎 😝 🇺🇸

I'm 61. We have many pets and commitments. But I wanted a Van. We traded our little Kia in on a 2015 Transit Connect SWB. Because that is what I feel comfortable driving. It is a contingency for life. You never know what cards you may be dealt. We are going to do the walls and ceiling for now.... This makes me happy. Thanks Chrome for the inspiration. I love my new little van.

I won't be living in my van, but you gave me the confidence to go ahead & make the leap to a setting up a van for camping (at age 67). Just bought a 2006 Odyssey with 250K miles and am doing a very simple "no-build build" to get out there ASAP.

Yes I felt like I was being left behind with all the marvelous things you have done with your van. I thought van life was supposed to be a cheap way to live. it was getting very expensive. When you did more upgrades I try to keep up but I couldn't. I actually started getting jealous. Because your van build was so far ahead of mine I almost gave up so I took a break from the build. I probably could have done things cheaper but I have no clue especially on solar panels can batteries. Sometimes I have to be do things over but that's how I learn by my mistakes yes they costly I've done everything myself it's tough because I have a learning disability so things so difficult for me sometimes impossible but I keep plugging away. So I am very proud of what I have accomplished and I did a video for my van build.

Hey Chrome, I'm 61, but only now figuring out what I want in life... I thought it was a sailboat, but seems the heart string have been pulled by my granddaughters... so I'll be selling my boat, buying a van or a bus, and to be a snowbird, going from the greater Seattle/Tacoma area just to your south in the summer, then Phoenix Arizona in the winter, I have family in both places... but yes this is what I want... 1st step, sell my boat... stay weird Chrome, your a cool cat!! I was impressed with how you plugged away at your debt, kept working the DJ jobs while morphing into one great video maker of excellent content for a KZfaq channel. I totally recommend the binge watching because you have left a trail of absolute jewels of van life wisdom from best practices in city van life, all the very best etiquette to keep van life a classy mode of living. You are so right - right at all the beginning: the van itself is most important! And it becomes even more important over time - because so many tailor made pieces had come together and fitted together, made sense over time. So, taking care of the van is most important! ... Even if it's an older one. ... Unnecessary to say, just treat it right, no hard offroading, no max flex or torsion of the body on uneven roads, no days of hard driving through pooring, rusty, corroding rain, when it's possible to select just another dry day for the next part of a smooth journey ... Thank you for sharing!

Thanks brother. Even though I've watched some of the Binge videos and seen and heard what you've done to your ride over the years it's easy to forget and lose sight of where you started. I just watch and see this great build. For others who haven't watched many of your videos it's even harder. They see what you and others have got and it can cause them to despair of ever reaching their goal. A little reminder now and then is definitely welcome. I haven't bought my van yet but hope to later this summer. I'm just keeping my eye on the ball.

Those videos were the ones that got my head to spinning. I am getting ready to buy a cargo trailer. You have motivated me to be free of the horrible sticks and bricks life.

This is your best video you have done to date in my opinion. It is going to free a lot of people that may not have the confidence to do this. Cheers!

I just loved this video. I’ve just got my van and was contemplating moving into it as a bare van and doing what you did, building while living in it. Now I know that’s exactly what I am going to do. So this weekend it’s building the bed. Thank you for being real about your whole process. 👍🚐

Just yesterday I was sitting in my van seat and turned around to look at my very empty Ford E-250 and imagining it as my home. It's not time yet, but one day.....Thanks for always being real and for sharing so much of yourself.

I’ve watched you since your van adventures began but it was so fun seeing the evolution of your van and of you! Thanks for showing that you can start wherever you might be at this time in your life.

I have enjoyed looking back with you. This has been a joy to see where you began to where you are now. I've see ALL your videos & it is because of your inspiration & encouragement that I was able to move into my 2005 e350 Ford Econoline over 2 years ago.
