Hi everyone, thank you for 17:54 of your time. In this video I made Mini PC from parts that probably will finish in trash or for recycle, the parts are older but still pretty functional. Also I add some upgrade parts to make the things better. This computer is good for almost all basic things and is good to play some mid range games.
✔️Disclaimer: I Done this project for personal use only, not for sale or any other distribution now or in the future. Also, personally I do Not sell any components, other hardware or software.

You were an inspiration for me to try and build pcs and repair old hardware. Since 2020, I have helped over 20 family and friends to keep their existing hardware by repairing/upgrading them for free. Rather than purchasing expensive stuff and contributing to e waste.

Great build! You could swap out the PSU and HSF for a SFX PSU and a low profile top down cooler and fit case panels on? You could then use those larger parts in a tower build!

I love your videos, repair tips and upgrades on PCs and laptops. My tip is: Wash everything with soap and water (removing the battery) and let it dry for 24 hours. Just vinegar and salt are enough to get the copper and aluminum shiny again in a few minutes. Then use WD40 or corrosion X to protect. I do it here in Brazil and it works well. Try it!

Nice little PC build! I would have personally gone for a case that fits the cooler though, and also I would have had more than 256GB SSD. 256GB isn't much when some games are 100GB+. It is better to have 256GB SSD and then additional HDD.

This setup is definitely a great fit for a dual-boot Windows XP & 10 PC. Granted that the version Windows XP installed is 32-bit one & can only utilize 4GB RAM, but the fact GTX 960 graphics card still has the official (unmodded) driver for XP means most games prior to 2007 can run in 4K resolution or 60 fps in high settings.

I found, some time ago, 2 small size PCs. 1 is an HP Slimline Pavilion, & the other is a Lenovo IdeaCenter mini PC. The HP was a bit on the older side, as it has Win Vista. The Lenovo is more recent, but the previous owners put a screw in the HDD! They put a screw in the CD ROM drive in the HP, thinking it was the HDD! The HP CPU can be upgraded as well as the RAM. Thank you 🤓

Not sure if you standed the heatsink would there be poor mounting pressure considering those are push pin mounted rather than screws. Also, not sure there would be pump out action due to the bare die chipset thermal expansion and contraction during use.

Great job and great restoration, though personally, I would’ve stuck with the intel stock cooler as it’s low profile and makes more sense here. The 3rd gen i5 won’t need much more cooling anyways, if it’s even capable of drawing that much from that little board.

Looks good but instead of that tower cooler I would have chosen a topblower, even an Arctic Alpine 12 should do the job, it is rated for 95W TDP and the i5-3330 has just 77 or some other like a Alpenföhn Silvretta, Freezer 11 LP or Scythe Shuriken 2 and use acrylic panels that you perforated with a drill for the PSU and Graphics card (or mill some slots, maybe angled instead of straight vertical or horizontal) instead of solid glass panels.

Reminds me of repairing my relatives' PC, i5-661 from a i5-2310 because of a motherboard failure and scavenging another PC for it. Upgraded it to 16GB with a GT1030. Was gonna swap out to a Xeon Processor then few years later, I had some spares from a PC upgrade I did, so now it is kicking an old 650W PSU, i5-9400F, new mobo+RAM+NVMe SSD while reusing the case, HDD.

You did very good job with the cleaning, but that CPU cooler is too overkill for that i5. Use the stock cooler and u can probably close the side panel.

Tbf, that tower cooler is pretty excessive for i5-3330. I have it for 9 years already with stock intel cooler (with copper core), and it never heats up over 65℃ (even under 100% load in summer). It's very cold, and i like it for this.
