Thanks so much for these videos! This channel has helped me so much along these past 4 years when it comes to producing and editing my own vocals. I always listened to the living weirdo covers since 2013. I currently am working on something really special to be released in October! A debut EP and it would not be possible without his vocal chains and mastering chains. A true Godsend

make your own bass traps and panels with some thick rockwool! stay away from foam and thin stuff. You'll save a ton of money plus you will have something even more effective than 90% of acoustic treatment products being sold 💯 beyond a no-brainer

That's dope man! I have a business making acoustic panels and bass traps. It comes down to time and what tools you have...and obviously money. Material costs seem low because videos have click bait. ~$30 for a panel.....but just a pack of insulation is 60 to 80. Sourcing everything takes time. Depending on tools it will take a long time. Good video!

REW is a better software to use for room review. I used the soundid software but it’s not as accurate as REW. This is why talking to a room acoustician is a good idea. We can only wear so many hats. I agree the door makes things a bit not symmetrical, but you could put a panel on the door if you didn’t want to wall over the door which is time consuming. Glad to see you doing more engineering thinking with this build. I was worried for a minute. Building a sound creation space is time consuming and expensive.

I was thinking panel over the door too! If he owns the house, maybe room the door to another part of the room. Yes, a great deal of work but we talking long term so why not LOL especial if you hear a major difference in production.

@@eLLBdotmusic I agree I would wall the door there are two that lead into that room so losing the one shouldn’t be a deal breaker, but damn it’s a lot of work pulling the frame and reframing the spot, sheet rocking, taping and painting. To have a balanced seating position is a must have thou. I had to do the same thing in my current space. The room I am using had two doors into the room and not a good symmetrical seating area and it’s small. Was a pain in the butt, however now I have a good seated listening area.

@@Ast3rixMusic Two doors?! Yeah I would do the work now properly or the short cut...foam it up. Put a fake wall on top then add panels but shhhh don't tell anyone...lol especially professionals 😂. I think it's one day work maybe two to wait until the plaster dries before painting. One day if he puts fans on it.idk lol I'm inspired to do my studio over. I rent so I have to get real creative. You do realize that legendary speakers like the NS10s are crappy speakers. The philosophy of a crappy speakers like that translating extremely well because if it sounds great there it’ll sound great on the nice ones.
