In this video I'm building the lightest gravel bike in the World while making sure it stays strong, fully functional and looks great. That's why Crux S-Works frameset was modified for fully invisible cable routing and the bike was custom Cerakote'd into sand colour.

Its amazing how after watching this video you realize that these days all modern components are already lightweight, to make a ww bike you have to save grams on each and every part, just swapping lightweight wheels or going for top of the line groupset won't do the trick. Great video as always, respect!

I love it when a new twisted wheels video comes out. These builds show how much scope there is for top bike brands to improve. I cant believe how much weight you took out of that derailleur, just an unbelievable level of knowledge on show. Hoping you get Ollie Bridgewood down to do a GCN review of it as well :-)

Uh, I was very much looking forward to this build video and it did not disappoint! Absolute STUNNER of a bike! The CRUX is just such a beautiful frame. I'm very curious about the performance of the rotors and weather they warp easily. Two parts I'd probably change is the Yuniper Seat Clamp, as I've had this on a bike and it broke after about three rides. But maybe they've since improved the product. Also, I have bought the INTEND expander but didn't really feel safe enough to me in the end. I think the Specialized expanders are really nice to work with, I find... though I see you needed the hole in the expander for the routing... Anyway, fantastic build and looking forward to the ride report 😊✌

Great build! Question: Doesn't the length of the back brake hose (which is way less longer than if it was routed externally) limit the angle the steerer can rotate? Isn't the same true with the hole which the hose exits the steerer through to the frame? I am planning to do the same type of routing but afraid of such consequences. Thank you

I used Ashima on my full suspension XC bike during the TransAlp race and they were absolutely fine, but you need powerful brakes (I had Trickstuff). I’m using Ashima 140mm on my road bike and they are also fine. So I’m pretty sure these 160mm will be fine with RX4 callipers, but to be confirmed…

Beautiful build! I have been surprised at how much most high end gravel bikes have been weighing these days. Everything on this bike seems like it could last, except maybe that 3D printed steer tube spacer. I think I would have gone with tried and tested carbon fiber for that part. When talking about the wheels you are saying they are aproved for ratios below 1:1. Can you or someone elaborate on this. Is it something that wheels generally have/required to have in its spec? I always thought that any ratios are possible on any wheel. But I never built a bike so that is why Im asking.
@TwistedWheels

I said that because there are a couple of grams lighter Extralite SPD hubs available but they are not approved to be used for gear ratios below 1:1.
