Joy, this turned out so lovely! I was really excited to see what you were going to do with this expansion since it's practically made for this save in mind. You mentioned you were still trying to come up with names for this new city, maybe Oriol, after Oriol Bohigas? He was an architect and urban planner in Barcelona whose design thoughts influenced the modern superblock ideas. Oriol also means "golden", which works nicely with the combination of warm beaches and light colored streets in this part of the map.

This new city is looking amazing. My suggestion for a name would be St. Laurence, to honour Larry S. who has designed most of the recreation areas in the city

Sorry for my delays in commenting recently ^.^ That image of the superblocks you show right in the beginning of the video is so eerily cool in my opinion ^-^ Both at the same time so insanely monotonous and from a distance pretty much perfectly "non-individual", but then once you look closer and see the details, you notice that every single block has its own unique features and colors and quirks ^-^ Kinda like humanity in a way, isn't it? Fundamentally all equal, but very unique on the personal/individual level ^-^ You are right that it is challenging to include Campus DLC areas into pedestrian areas (or, pedestrians roads into campus areas, to be more precise, since you absolutely need the campus zone for it to work), but it seems to be possible. In one of CPP's recent videos I have seen that you can actually use ped roads for campus areas, as long as you make sure that the Campus buildings themselves are placed on normal paths that are at a 1 to 2 tile distance from the road so that the building acknowledges it is placed on the path and not the ped road. Then it'll apparently work. I think the new wall-to-wall medium density buildings are working really well to create that "superblock" kind of look and athmosphere ^-^ It's the perfect kind of density and with the modern and colorful look because of the murals the blocks get a nice touch of color ^-^ You're doing a great job including the little playground and bike racks and the detailing inside the blocks, looks very beautiful ❤ Also the bus roads seem to be working very well in your concept here, you're doing a nice job including them like that ^-^ Personally I kinda didn't feel inspired to use them yet, but here in your case they are very nice 💛 The cinematics at the end of the video show very very nicely that the little mini parks are giving each block a very nice touch, they are very lovely ❤ Thank you for the video, much appreciated ❤ All the best ^-^

Loved the superblocks. Your explainer was so informative! How about Barcelonita for a name? A lot of small detailings, felt snappy, and so did the soundtrack. Did I see FOUR community gardens? Is this a botany school? It should be! The tram stops are a fat cheque that we cannot wait to cash. So much people at the end! Good Joyb!

If left a 1 wide gap could have a zonable walkway into the middle of the super blocks (might even be possible just plop it down in the middel) and have a actuall functining (in game) par there

How would emergency services handle these pedestrian only zones?

Why have the road dissect the first pedestrian zone and schools? Detouring the road asymmetrically or slightly dropping and having several pedestrian road raised sections bridge above

I thought super blocks had 1 way roads in alternating directions every 3x3 blocks with pedestrian roads in between up to 18x18?

I've stopped at around 1/3 of the video. And this is your first video that I watch. I'm sorry but this is not the concept of super blocks. And by what you are saying, you know what it is, but this is not it. The concept of taking an existing block (or 9) and turning cars away from it is different from building 2 sets of 9 pedestrian blocks from scratch. For example: you can live inside a superblock, own a car or bike, and park it at your garage. You can stop in front of a store with your car and buy things. Not the case here. If you plan on teaching urban design concepts to your audience, make sure you do it properly. On the other hand, the city-wide design that appears in the first shots is beautiful! Congratulations.
