Myself, I would have made it out of some other wood than oak if it would be painted, but that's my own personal preference. Other than that it's a well designed piece of furniture.

Brilliant. Very sleek contemporary design. Love it. I looked online for something similar, and I saw something close to what you made called the ‘Milford’ bookcase by Raymour and Flanigan. It was $440! Wow. Yours has extra decoration of the Xs down the sides, it looks more elegant, and I’m sure yours is put together much better too. Great project! Thanks!

I "love" the modern look, awesome build!😊 I'm not a fan of the black paint. Personal preference...I would've stained the framing to a dark brown shade, and then clear coated.
