I know this band is popular but nothing will stop me from saying how underrated they are still. Especially seeing how overrated some of the other 90s bands are today.

We didn’t realize how lucky we were back in ‘99. So many good live shows at Variety Playhouse in ATL - BTS, Modest Mouse, Stereolab, YLT, Luna. An amazing band every other week. Pre 9/11 (the Modest Mouse show 9/26/01 we were all in a daze trying to piece together what had just happened to the world), pre social media. I wish the teens/twenty somethings of today could go back and experience the pure joy of those shows. But at least we have the Keep It Like a Secret tour to look forward to. Thanks Doug for being awesome and pushing on!

If you haven't seen this band live yet, go out of your way to do so. Doug is a modern John Lennon in terms of song-writing prowess, but is as humble as a first-time coffee shop performer. The shows are simultaneously laid back and face-meltingly awesome.
