Slavic and Latin are not DNA groups though. They are language families. The DNA is Eastern European and Italian.

@@samraosmanovska4077 The borders are fluid and there are multiple ways to classify certain areas. You can definetly separate slavic dna through R1a and I2a haplogroup dominance in certain areas. What tf does Eastern European even mean as ethnicity. There are Baltics, Slavics and Albanians in Eastern Europe that have are different genetic groups.

South slav is just a term used to describe those native populations of the balkans who where slavized by slavic invasions of the balkans which today uses slavic languages and name, but at the same time i don't deny they also have slavic DNA, but it isn't majority of their DNA; for bulgarians it is 20-25% slavic, the rest of their DNA is greco-thracian. For serbs, croats and bosnians is just 30-35% and for the rest they are mostly native illyrians.

old bulgarians are not the same current bulgarians. The balkan bulgarians are fully slavized. Real balkan bulgarians are thrakians. Old bulgarians were turkic. Bulgarians are not real ethnic they get allways different results.

By the way this is coming from a Macedonian where on average we have 60% Greek DNA, 30% Balkan, 5% Italian, and 5% Iberian DNA, with no Eastern European DNA in sight. Even though we do speak a "Slavic" language, this doesnt mean our ancestors are from Eastern Europe, as language and ancestry are 2 very different things.

And no, its not just southern Macedonians that get Greek DNA, I am from Skopje and I have over 65% "Greek" DNA, with Balkan making up roughly 25%. All Macedonians that I have seen on KZfaq also have over 60% Greek DNA. As I said, "Greek" DNA on MyHeritage covers all of Macedonia. Also, I never said I am more Macedonian than you, I simply stated that Macedonians get more "Greek", Serbians get more "Balkan", and you being half Serb, makes sense that you get more Balkan than your average Macedonian. Again, the naming scheme is a bit weird and it shouldnt be called that as we are all Balkan, but regardless, Slavic is not an ethnicity or ancestry marker, its simply a language family. So yes, we are all from South Eastern Europe, as were all of our ancestors. Our language is Slavic. Our ancestry is not.

Bulgarian IS a clear ethnicity. This girls family went out & mixed with OTHERS resulting in this DNA. Even the name Asparuh comes from the Thracian name Aspar. Thracians ARE Bulgarians & Bulgarians are native in the BALKANS 100% unless they mixed with others outside of Bulgaria.
