Yay!!!! A new video from Barbara to enjoy with my coffee!! 🥳😄🤗 I have to confess something... The crazy thing is that I don't even like to create vintage looking things myself! LoL 😂😜 I did a little bit years ago, though, and I have accumulated a ton of vintage goodies.... 😄 I still like to integrate some vintage ephemera pieces in my ecclectic and colorful style collages and journaling. I had fun today working along with you. Thank you so much for the FREEbies. I did print out your background papers also but the color was too pinkish for the journal. Teach me for buying cheap ink! I have some coffee dyed paper so I printed the background on that and it looks a treat :-). Th first 2 pages worked out beautifully. No real theme just a bit of this and that and voila! I love your idea of a Book Reading page. So I'm popping one in as well :-) Managed to find a FREE clip art image of a book and whipped up a strip of books to go with 9 books goaled up for the year. Wow, if I get to read 1/2 of those it will be more than I read all this past year! Now to finish off the weekly pages. Question ... What do you do with the pages right at the beginning of the book? Any suggestions?

So happy you were working with me! I’m happy you like the look of the prints on the coffee dyed paper. And yay for a reading page! I’m actually not sure yet what I’m going to do with the pages at the front. I will definitely show you if I do anything with them. I’m also happy to leave them as they are to show some of the original book.

Hallo, die Idee aus einem normalen Buch ein Kalender zu machen ist super, man hat viele Freiheiten den Kalender nach seinem Geschmack zu gestalten:-) Die Idee mit den Büchern ist einfach nur genial, die werde ich mich abschauen, einfach toll. @@49dragonflies just a suggestion...the book image you are using looks like it's a tracker itself. I suggest as you progress thru reading a book that you color one segment of the book spine to show the progression... looks about 5 segments per image...

Ok Barbara, I need to think about what pages would work for me. I don't think I would make use of the step tracker, although I plan on walking more. So I need to think about what I would like for my monthly pages. Thanks for all your inspiration! Beautiful background papers!

Thank you Nancy! My suggestion is if you plan on walking more, add a step tracker and make the goal attainable. I know since I have added this to my planner I am much more motivated to walk more because I want to color in the column as high as possible! ☺️

There is an App for phones and computers called Good Reads. It is free and it will also help you keep track of what you read. I do LOVE your idea of the books tho - and perhaps a little review of what you thought. I love the idea of you collage page for the end of each month!

Liebe Barbara, habe gestern Nacht tatsächlich einem lilafarbenen Buch, welches mein Töchterlein gelesen hatte, mit Acrylfarbe ein neues Aussehen verpasst 👍🏻 wie kommt denn die Zahl 7 zustande? Kann man auch weniger raus reißen? Vielen Dank für deine Freebies, ich hab sie mir schon mal ausgedruckt, obwohl ich mir über meine Seiten und wie ich sie gestalten und nutzen möchte noch nicht ganz im klaren bin. Sehr cool! 😃👍🏻. Die Zahl 7 ist aus Erfahrung. Kommt aber auf die Stärke der Buchseiten an. Kann man auch im Laufe des Buches korrigieren. Weniger macht das Buch oft einen Gatormouth und mehr lässt das Cover „hineinkippen“. Am besten du experimentierst damit 😊. Viel Vergnügen mit den Freebies. Bin gespannt was bei dir rauskommt ☺️❤️

Thanks Diana! It’s all a bit of an experiment really... in my past altered book that number was perfect for the book to stay flat until the end. This time the pages are much thinner, so I might have to adjust as I get farther into the book. We learn as we go along ☺️

Love your style! What kind of printer and paper do you use? When I used to use my own printer, I found that ink was SO Expensive for the amount of material I actually printed. I would actually like to do that again. I'm at a Rental House for the winter, there is a HP OfficeJet 4650, I need to purchase new ink--I tried to rejuvenate the dried up ink, but, its not too good. Can I coffee stain AFTER I print, or should I coffee stain prior to printing? Please and Thank you!

Thanks Shelley. I would not coffee dye after printing with an inkjet printer. It would most likely smear. I have a Canon TS5050 and I don’t think the ink is expensive and it lasts long.

Liebe Rosemarie. Meistens funktioniert 7-8 Seiten gut wenn du möchtest, dass dein Buch flach bleibt. Du kannst es aber auch mit der Zeit anpassen wenn du merkst, dass es zu dick oder dünn wird. Deswegen reiße ich auch nicht am Anfang gleich alle raus beim Bullet Junk Journal.
