Hi Pumla thanks for sharing your story ,so at 41 after traveling alot and building a career , I went for IVF in Canada after 2 miscarriages and wanted to get it right as soon as possible ,here the cut off age is 42 ,I super ovulated and had 32 eggs and yes the clinic had never seen anything like that so they wanted to do a study on me to help others struggling with infertility,I also did pre genetic screening of the embryos that alone costs 6000$ ,there were some meds that cost 2000$ a dose ,so I transferred 2 embryos and had my twin boys in 2019 alpha and omega are their names ,so a friend struggling with infertility reached out to me after failing to get an egg donor in the uk and I agree to donate my left over eggs to her rather than destroy them .yes what a journey it was stressful I lost so much weight going through the.process ,I had to inject myself aswell. But looking back it was worth the cost and time ,I thank the God of Abraham for touching my womb,yes people at these clinics get to share their journey so I met a 27 year old Canadian white lesbian girl who had come to donate eggs for a gay couple in France actually she said their fertility laws don't favour gay people in France she told me it was her second time donating and she had 22 eggs ,I asked her if she was going to freeze some eggs for herself and she said she had never thought about it ,she told me the first couple she donated too miscarried, actually here they encourage using a relatives eggs if available or surrogate because the eggs stick better like a mum can carry embryos for her daughter or a sibling can donate eggs to another sibling etc .lessons some women spend a longtime building a career and postpone having babies ,here in the western world fertility doctors talk.about the struggles of having kids after 35 it's.all.over the news and tv.i.left ug at 32 and never once heard anything about infertility.
