my bad if im wrong, but didn’t they cooperate with the germans as they saw nazism as a more favorable alternative as opposed to communism?

@@MaxArchive some yes, but most of the forest brothers were civilians who resisted Soviet rule after the war. Those who collaborated with Germany thought that they would liberate the Baltics.

@@MaxArchive i cant talk for my northern brothers but lithuanian forest brothers restarted resistance within a week of the germans attacking and overthrowing the collaborator state
