The Lyrics sing about fighting austrians and germans, and on the official Vilki (singing group) site its written that it is a Latvian riflemen song.

This song about 1915 latviešu strelniekiem who where sent to fight in Carpathian area. My great grandfather was sent there to fight against Austrians and german units.
