Yes, it was very sad the way he betrayed her after they broke up saying nasty thing about her. People close to Madonna say she cried when she read that interview because she felt hurt and alone. "I Don't Give A" and "Gang Bang" are also about Guy and "Best Friend" and "Miss You" are about him too, but in those songs she admits she misses him sometimes even after all they went through and all the pain he gave her. She has such a good heart, she deserves someone better than him, he's an asshole.

Love Spent should've been the first release from MDNA. It's the best track on the album and the personal lyrics and controversy would have propelled it to the top. At this stage in her career (which has been a legendary one) Madonna is lucky to have one hit off of each new record and she really made a mistake releasing weak singles... also with Rebel Heart (the title track should have been the first release)...

Beautiful song but as ever her slow ballads are always epic. Acoustic version is awesome. Where is this guy now. Nowhere ! Madonna always fresh and a woman with a golden heart. She made that guy!

He was a jerk considering they were married 8 years and had a son together. Madonna's friends said she was devastated with his hurtful words. I guess this song explains how she felt.
