Today's adventure we're heading north in search of some chrome steelhead we can eat using a bushcraft method I recently learned. We want to take a little of what we can find in the woods and what we repurposed from home to do a fire roasted catch and cook using my bushcraft skills! i know first hand how sketchy log jams can be let alone in the snow,but how epic is it to crawl out onto one and see fish below you and to get a presentation in front of them is hard but boy when you do get it right and you see one take it and you hook up...nothing like it!sketchy jordan on the jam.love it good job

I once casted over a tree branch and my lure went all the way down into the water. The branch was long and looked very flexible.. Instead trying to Get my line off the branch, I allowed the spinner to work in the water as I lifted my rod tip up-and-down jigging the spinner up and down in the hole I was casting into. Bam. Hooked a big coho buck. It was a risky attempt since my line could have snapped. But the leader came off the branch just fine and I landed that fish! Epic catch in low water warm September weather.
