Tails flight myth isn’t quite a myth as rapid tapping jump button is for height, and rhythmic/slow taps is for distance flight it’s been something that’s been about since sonic 3 and 3 and kunckles. And the tails myth about beating a boss does just apply to tails it can apply to Amy too due to her double jump ability.

Technically sonic is still the fastest character since he has the drop dash allowing him to gain speed faster than anyone else
