Imo. Bowsers actual ca age girlfriend and relatives are missing/ killed. Peach is NOT a biological mother of any kiddo regarding the koopas or Bowsers species, how would eh they " do " it?. But step-in mother for Bowser jr. In every Mario game having Bowser jr involved in canonlore, shown or otherwise. Bowser keep on kidnapping Peach so little jr can have motherly role model even if its a different species. BEFORE Bowser junior got alot more stage time or even before concepted into canon-lore.
