There’s a bunch of Myths in Mario Kart games. For instance,
Myth: You can find a Hidden rupee from Zelda in Mario Kart 7.
And were busting even more Mario Kart Myths to see if they're true or false.
Myth: Starting off with simple myths like you can hold B to cancel your getting hit animation.
And were going to end with the big myths like Waluigi being cut out for being to ugly or a canceled Mario kart game on a Tesla.

well yeah, but from the perspective of other players it defeats the purpose of them as an obstacle, like at least with pow blocks in wii you still have to spin out a little, you cant just.. ignore it lmao

What's the point of Fake Item Boxes in pretty much every game after Mario Kart 64 if they are literally like "HEY LOOK EVERYONE! I AM TOTALLY A FAKE ITEM BOX! YOU CAN TELL MY HOW RED WE ARE, COMPARED TO THE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT NORMAL ITEM BOXES", compared to Mario Kart 64, where they were actually _hard_ to spot? FIBs in Mario Kart Double Dash!! until Mario Kart Wii where they were last featured, are like setting up some kind of bucket of water on top of a slightly open door prank, then putting a sign saying "THERE'S A BUCKET OF WATER ON THE DOOR!"

It didn't happen for every banana you hit though. Sometimes when u hit a banana, u just slip right away. Other times they give you a brief window of time to recover.

It stated right in the manual, though it requires a player to be going straight to work. The manual references that corners are a good place to put the banana peels for this reason.

Fun fact: The Chain Chomp was here because of the Baby bros's special in MKDD. They decided not to take their special and instead, put in something that's literally just a 3d model of a cylinder with a face storming through the track. The Chomp would've functioned the same way though, so it's not a total loss

It’s true that it’s confirmed that E. Gadd WAS going to be an unlockable character in DS, but the details go further than that screenshot with Toad. In the demo cartridge with an early version of the game, the unlockable characters were not modeled or playable yet, but they were partially programmed in. If you chose the unlockable character that would normally be Dry Bones (which isn’t possible without hacks), your character’s name would be listed as “GADD” in race menus, pretty much confirming that this was planned not very far from the game’s launch. It’s definitely a myth that he can currently be unlocked, though.

That's definitely not an intentional Rupee in MK7, because that hole in the cliff has always been on Wuhu Island. It even has a name: Pirate's Eye.

I want to know how someone who busts myths didn't look into the origin of the track, as you said, wuhu islands pirate eye is not a rupee. I mean I can see why some would think that but if people looked at the actual island from Wii sports then it'd be clear it's not a rupee

Pretty sure the rupee one is a coincidence. This map is taken from Wii sports resort and it’s supposed to be a circle. Likely low res for being far in the background and not something players would really pay attention

I would also like to add to the Chain Chomp in MKDS myth, there is actually still some code for the item in the game, but if you force the game to run that code by forcing the current item ID to the value the Chain Chomp uses (you do this via an emulator), it just crashes the moment you try to use the item.

If you look at the moon in any track that is night time It looks like there is a Yoshi egg on the moon instead of a man on the moon. If you push the throw item button on the controller multiple times you can get an item from the item box faster.
