He was re-sentenced dec of 2021. To life in prison again with no parole as well as 15yrs for Connor, served consecutively. I have no doubt he's guilty and hope she and her baby are resting in peace together.

I’m from Modesto, I was in High School when all this happen and my best friend lived down the street from the Peterson’s. Never knew them personally but I remember going to her candle vigil and thinking it was very strange that he wasn’t more upset about his wife and unborn child missing. He didn’t shed a tear. Even as a teen, I knew something wasn’t right. Guilty af and I hope he rots in prison.

Bailey, Ray Charles could see that he did this. 1. He told his girlfriend she passed before he killed her. 2. He had his boat in the same area she was found. 3. He started clearing out her clothes and baby stuff before they were found. I'd keep my baby things in that room and my wife's things probably indefinitely. 4. He died his hair and took 15k out of the bank and was headed to Mexico. I really don't think the question is: DID HE DO IT. the question is: WHY

well people lie about their spouses being dead the whole time when there’s indefinitely involved, it way easier for the mistress to accept that he was married and lost his wife than him being currently married second the whole thing about him taking his boat there was used against police because they did search that area multiple times with professionals & found nothing and it’s not like he could’ve went back and placed it there he was being watched by the police the whole time. That to me signifies that a 3rd party was involved, weather they were an accomplice if his or if they acted alone is a different story.

I would love to know what men like Chris Watts and Scott Peterson were like behind closed doors with their wives. Were there red flags OR were they wonderful husbands, like WHAT were they like?? I think not knowing is what makes these stories SO NUTS. Like were they so manipulative that these woman would never guess, or were there signs?

Chris Watts sent his wife a pic of a doll covered with a shroud, a big red flag. He also told her after she was very pregnant that he was happy with the two girls, and didn't want another baby. So there were signals he sent out that things were getting bad. As far as Scott Peterson I don't believe we have much documentation about how he treated his wife save for he wanted her to mop the floor while 8 months pregnant.

I think they are like kids and the wife has to navigate them through life. Chris mentioned all the little things he did for the girls and it sounds like a check off list...not natural. Scott with the two dozen flowers at a dinner with Laci and the mom was a red flag. He was in college then, right? Psychopaths.

these type of men are mass manipulations and gaslighters, they have their wives so psychologically confused and dormant it seems normal. i imagine they are always scratching their heads wondering and knowing something is off but when you are so emotionally and mentally abused, you don’t even what’s real and kinda just let it flow because it’s extremely overwhelming. i’m not saying this is this situation but some possibilities of these types of relationships. plus scott is an extreme liar, everything lacy fell for was a lie and everything that amber knew about this guy from the first phone call was a lie, Scott put on the charm and lied to a point where he knew he could backtrack because he knew that he’d be excepted for his fault at that time because they’ve had already built a “safe enough” relationship with him to let it go, so put that together with what i said above, and you can try to connect the dots and make a picture of possibilities of how this was behind closed doors.

I also heard this story somewhere else and I think she wasnt an actual friend, they met on a work trip and he started hitting on her but she was engaged so he started pressuring her to hook him up with someone, also he had cheated on Laci twice before this so you cant blame the friend

I’m still reading Sharon Rocha’s book For Laci and I’m getting Cindy Watts vibes from Scott’s mother. The Petersons have treated the Rochas terribly after Scott was arrested. ☹️ I also got from her perspective that Scott never wanted to have a child but Laci did. She said Scott started changing after she got pregnant. He could have just divorced her.

I know loads of women who have loved pregnancy, even the rough ones and then there are those like my sister who, apart from a bit of stress at the beginning leading to an early first scan, had a pretty much problem free pregnancy aside from being hot (in her defence it was a hot summer), who absolutely hated being pregnant. Personally, the idea seems a bit too close to the bit in Alien where the face hugger bursts out of the torso and it freaks me TF out 🤣

Weird Trivia: In the film "Demolition Man", shortly before Simon Phoenix's parole hearing, we see a shot of the docket for the day. The name 'Scott Peterson' can be seen on the list, even though the film came out many years before this case hit the news. What a spooky coincidence!

I watched the trial, and, granted, it was more than a decade ago, so I don't know if I am remembering correctly, but Amber was having some kind of issue with her daughter's father. Scott was "the baby" and the center of attention growing up. Someone's theory (the prosecution? the commentators on CourtTV?) was that Amber's connection to her daughter's father woke Scott up to the fact that having a baby with Laci would tie him down and tie him to her for the rest of his life. If he killed her, he could once again be footloose and fancy-free.

That was my theory too because the dog running around the neighborhood on a leash just seemed too odd. It would be difficult to sneak up on his wife and abduct her while she was walking. It would be easier just to say get in let's go somewhere, but then she would take the dog with her in the car.

I saw a documentary about this case and it was said there that the "friend" was actually a stranger he met for the first time at a business meeting or something and he tried to make a play for her (he was a total womanizer) but she was engaged so she set him up with her friend Amber instead. So according to that, she didn't know he was married cuz she'd just met him.

From what I’ve read, the “acquaintance” that introduced Scott to Amber didn’t know Scott was married. This “acquaintance “ found out that Scott was married and threatened to tell Amber if Scott didn’t. Scott agreed and that’s when he went crying to Amber telling her how he was married at one point. Scott told Amber that he had “lost his wife” but never said she was dead. If you look for the phone calls, there’s a part where Amber tells Scott “You said you lost your wife a month ago before she went missing” to which he responds, “There’s different types of lost”. I love love LOVE Bailey but there’s some wrong information in this video. It’s tough looking through so many resources so it’s understandable.

Also, his family found it suspicious when he would take off pictures from a board where they had pictures of Laci. He’d say not to use certain pictures (pictures where he would come out in). It’s assumed that he was trying to avoid the camera, so Amber wouldn’t see him and find out he was married.

I didn't have her as a teacher but I used to live off of Yosemite and Lincoln. This was so crazy when it happened. I remember how hard it was to get close to their neighborhood because of all of the news vans being parked up. I just ended up avoiding that area until the media backed off.

Yeah... because most people wash clothes without detergent. There’s nothing “suspish” about that. 🤦‍♀️ what about all the witnesses that claim to have seen Laci? Dig deeper into the story and multiple witnesses say they saw laci walking the dog and a couple of guys were harassing her telling her to shut the dog up.. not to mention the house directly across the street had been broken into. People in this case don’t understand what beyond a reasonable doubt means... the fact other pregnant women turned up missing and found in the same manner leaves room for doubt. He was convicted by the media and less about facts and actual evidence... the fact you’re saying him using detergent to wash his clothes was “suspicious”, when in reality EVERYONE uses detergent to wash their clothes. 🙄

@barmaid I mean, for me, weeks 6-12 are kind of rough because of fatigue, but my last one (which was my first) was a breeze and my delivery was really fast, and I felt pretty much back to normal a week after I had him, so it was way less horrible than I was expecting. Plus, my kid is super sweet and I enjoy watching him learn and grow. So, overall, I give it a 7/10. I obviously decided it was worth the end result to do it again, seeing as how this one was planned in advance 🤷😂

The sad part is he could have just left her. He didn’t care about hurting her OBVIOUSLY, but he cared about how people perceived him. I wish he would have left her so Laci and her baby could still be here. They deserved so much better. 😔

I lived by Modesto when this happened and it was a constant news stream of heartbreak. That poor momma and baby. Her poor family.😢💔

Another case was Polly Klass who was kidnapped and killed in Petaluma, CA in 1993 (I believe). I was going to college near there in Cotati, CA at the time at Sonoma State.

It is better to go fishing early in the morning like 5 or 6 a.m. That is fishy that Scott said he was fishing at 12:54p.m.

Why would anyone’s “friend” try to “hook them up” with someone WHEN THEYRE MARRIED AND THE WIFE IS PREGNANT?! What kinda friend is that?! I hope they have trouble sleeping at night.

His friend didnt know that he was married. The reason why his confession to Amber that his wife was dead seems so random is because she had found out about his wife and was upset that he let her set the two up. He wanted to talk to Amber before his friend had the chance to tell her the truth.

Bailey got the info wrong. Scott wanted to date (or hook up)his female friend. She felt uncomfortable due to the fact that she didn't see Scott in that way. So the female friend gave Amber's number. Amber was single and the female friend saw nothing wrong with introducing them. The female friend did not know that Scott was married. The female friend was from work and Scott met her during one of the business trips. Scott took his ring off a lot when on business trips. So, the female friend did not know he was married. Period.

The fact that he had multiple affairs, he lied repeatedly about not being married but then lied about telling Amber he did tell her he was married, had stated he did not want a child (I mean people have killed for less let's get real), bought a boat without telling anyone, couldn't even tell people what he was fishing for, couldn't even bring himself to beg for her life, and was telling everyone she's 'missing' before they even found her body...he's definitely guilty in my opinion.

this story is what sparked my interest in true crime. i was a kid when this happened. my mom told me i said it was Scott the moment i saw his initial interview, and i used to get very upset at the tv any time i saw him.
