Buttigieg vows federal help to fix collapsed section of Interstate 95 in Philadelphia

U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg promised Tuesday to help repair the East Coast's main north-south highway as quickly as possible and said that the destruction of a section of I-95 will likely raise shipping costs because truckers must now travel longer, pricier routes.

Well I would hope so. It is a federal interstate highway.

The interstate system is actually managed by the individual states department a of transportation with federal coordination and matching funds. The freeways are owned by the states as well, it’s not federal land.

0:46 Umm? It takes a fraction of the time to demolish something as it takes to build something. Sorry for the awful comparison but the Twin Towers is a tragically great example. Wait until its time to rebuild the overpass.

Because it was the DRIVER who had 100% control of the truck at the time, besides, a company doesnt pay- thats what business liability INSURANCE is for..
