Thank you for another really helpful video. I have just tried using tearaway stabiliser on small buttonholes on a silk shirt. I practised with and without stabiliser on a scrap, and wow what a difference! The 'with' looks amazing. Also, I was unaware that you needed to pull the needle thread through the hole in the foot, so previously my top thread was getting caught in the buttonhole stitching. What a difference both your tips make.

I have a LOT of trouble making a button hole on the very first part of the collar stand of a shirt. There are two layers of fabric and two layers of interfacing, in a very small area and not a lot of room to move. I find the foot always gets stuck on the beginning of the button hole, and on the return, it's always uneven. I try to pull the fabric in the right direction, but it makes it worse. I have a Bernina Auroa 440, Quilters Edition. This is the only time I have problems with the button hole. Would your feeder compensator tool help me with this problem?
