Question for a future episode: Do you think LEGO would ever consider expanding the LAN to include content creators that specialize in MOC building and not set reviews? LEGO would send parts from the PAB factory instead of sending sets, and the creators would showcase the various things you could build with LEGO parts outside of just building sets.

I’m currently using a Lighttailing kit to light up my Rivendell set. I’m enjoying the process but it’s definitely a learning curve. I would recommend starting with a standalone display piece and see if you enjoy the process and the outcome. If you do enjoy it then start small. Maybe one block that lighting makes sense for, such as a nightlife block featuring the Jazz Club and a restaurant and an apartment building. Love your channel. Thanks for all the time and work you put into it.

You should do a cafe corner build from start to end filmed in segments over days etc to make one video showing exactly what substitute etc and give us the final figure.. even what you left in was outrageous…. A single parrot for $3. Never… i reckon with your inventory in total that would be $50 MAX… and theres enough viewers to outright pay for that to get cafe corner in your new town

I know it would be tricky but sometimes it would be helpful if you see where in the design the parts are. That way if it’s an interior piece that no one can see you could choose to substitute color or eliminate.

You could do a transition in the city from spring to winter, like do 4 squares ( like a windows-symbole) with a season in each square and transitioning between them, would look so really nice

That is pretty much what I did for my Cafe Corner and Market Streets. Truthfully, I'm doing it currently for all retired modular buildings. Got a late start in the hobby, so missed out buying them at release. I'm really close to finishing up Green Grocer (sand green bricks are a little expensive) and Pet Shop.

Hey bricksie, do you think it's fair that countries like Australia should paid more for Lego due to the exchange rate? You know the minifig boxes are still 5 AU yet everything else is 40% more!

Most of my grails I actually have used, but at least I have them. I do have 1 grail I still wish to get, but it can easily be replaced with the ideas oriented express set, and that's set 10194 the emerald night. This past Christmas, I got my last grail set set at 10247, the 2015 ferris wheel used, but complete. I haven't started it yet, but I hope too soon. Another grail I completed was all the looney tunes cmfs last Christmas. It's the only series I wanted to complete for my collection.

I recently bought the parts to build the town hall, cost me €250 include shipping. Replaced some of the expensive parts by parts i had in my inventory and the parts i ordered where 90% new parts and some used, i excluded the minifigures. A used set start at €600 without know the conditions in my country. Dont waste your money on expensive old sets, look for alternative options first

There is a great rebrickable that I used to duplicate my Palace Cinema, it's by daqupa and instead of having two signs (one on each end) I kept a single sign above the marquee in the center of the build

You've never been able to collect all the Lego sets. I remember looking in the back of my instruction manuals as a kid wishing for the big sets in each themes I got. One of my favorite sets as a kid was the cargo plane from Lego City. I got it in 2009 and it didn't survive my dark age.

Great Video, loved the part about ordering sets by piece rather than ordering as a set to save money. I have 20-30 lego sets that are partially built, but mostly in pieces in large totes. I want to basically go through it all and put them back into their sets and numbered ziploc bags similar to how they came brand new. I have all the instructions, what would be your recommendation for process to sort through all of this quickly and ensure I have all the pieces. The goal is to sell everything, well... most of it!!!

1:28 I’ve had to set out a budget for the year. Regardless of what else comes out, I can only spend X amount per month, which totals to a set limit for the year. Very finance conscious advice!

Would love to see the Lego city you have built with lights on, it would look awesome. My daughter got the Minecraft axolotl and light set for Christmas. I would deffo find someone to work with as the kits don't always hide the wires unfortunately. Also loved the bricklink explanation. Still newbies at Lego here lol.

About the early Modulars I have the same issue, but I'm missing the first 7. What I am doing is designing modernized versions of those Modulars, changing parts but also improving the interiors that were very poor or even non-existent, so that they can fit well with the modern ones, and keeping them under $400 (US) if you buy all new parts. Already have the Market Street on Rebrickable and I'm working on the Cafe Corner and Green Grocer. Would you build one of this slightly modernized versions? Or you would prefer building them exactly as the originals with only parts replacement?

There's only 2 lego stamps I need from chicago I need is the one near Wisconsin Illinois state line and the legoland store, then the 2 in Virginia which one of store opened a few months after I went to brickfair va

I think for lighting you should start out small. Try designing one street lamp as a template. Street lamps with lights would just add so much to the city.

Ask Bricksie: Would you consider building a Cyberpunk themed district in the new facility? Or even some Star Wars influence? Doesn't even have to be a district, it could be a street or a little alley like Diagon Alley in your city except Cyberpunk themed. I know you said you wouldn't due to the size and other concerns with said sets but, just thinking of some ideas to help fill in the amount of space you'll be getting. Thanks for the content.

In order to display all my lego, and stay married, I need to use my home gym as also the lego display area. Because of chalk dust and dust in general, I'm looking at using wired track shelves so that I only have to dust the lego. Plus, with the 10" subwoofer shaking the gym room, figure the gaps in the wired shelves will prevent cars from rolling off. Thoughts?

Jordan, when you build do you look for the injection mold release points and try to hide then whenever possible? My very detailed brain makes me always try to hide them… LOL

1:55 Well, the issue isn't whether I can collect LEGO but whether it's still worth it. I feel like some sets may be worth it but most aren't, not at the regular retail price. I only buy at a discount now and I'm on the verge of only buying used bc when even one set per month is more expensive than most hobbies, that's just not worth it. I'm considering picking up competitive shooting and even that is cheaper (in Germany with all its expensive bureaucracy, mind you).

Super hero modular building seem to alternate between skyscraper small building skyscrapers. Bugle, sanctum, Avengers. Based of that logic it would be a small building. 2024 will see Xmen 97’ released on Disney plus. Would make sense to see a Xmen mansion being released in 2024. And in 2025 in prep for F4 a skyscraper Baxter building.

Dude, What is a Dirigible? “Airship” and “dirigible” are synonyms; a dirigible is any lighter-than-air craft that is powered and steerable, as opposed to free floating like a balloon.
