We go to view and buy a 2010 L322 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 TDV8 #backroadhero
We need a 'proper' tow car for the e46 race car. The Range Rover TDV8 is the perfect blend of towing capability, style, comfort, usability, economy and cost of ownership.
The combination of dark blue and parchment contrasting leather is rare. This car only has 88,000 miles, full history, and is in fantastic condition. The L322 TDV8 is ALL the car you'll ever need.

00:00 Intro
00:40 Arriving at the dealer.
01:20 Sharing thoughts along the way. I'm no mug and know these cars very well.
01:40 First impressions. A fantastic colour combination.
01:54 Don't let the sales person distract you.
02:00 Checking wheels, tyres, brake discs and paint for repairs, original stickers and overspray.
02:28 Asking permission to film and diagnostic check.
03:30 Missing parcel shelf. Says it doesn't come with one. (£150 to replace)
04:15 Dog guard, misinformation. They ARE integral.
05:48 Get on your back check out the air suspension, bushes, leaks, error codes etc.
06:55 Pleasantly surprised.
07:20 Walk around.
08:15 Issues. Tow bar, one key, parcel shelf, rear subframe bushes. Know the additional costs involved BEFORE signing.
10:15 Negotiations. Be prepared to walk away. Robin had already put on a holding deposit so this wasn't available to us.
10:58 Beware quotes from sales people. The 'about £150' quoted turns, out to be closer to £1000 from the local Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) dealer. An independent specialist did it for £315 on our doorstep. Parcel Shelf is £150 used. Tow bar is £320 used.
11:53 One Range Rover is bought. Make sure you have a copy of the original advert, we didn't!
