Even when it runs out, I bet you'll be able to fill several grease cups with what's left over in the drum. And just think what it costs for grease gun tubes and tubs. I don't know what he paid for the thing originally, but I bet it was the biggest bargain of all. Love the new 930. Killer drone footage.

Great score on the loader. I used to work at asphalt plant and moved up to 400 ton of different gravels an hour in various models of loaders. Money saving tip: Use the machines weight to get first two thirds of bucket, hit pile at some speed. Than lift while moving forward and tilt bucket slightly down and than back up. Full easy scoops every time. If you keep trying to run it like a dozer your tranny will not last long. Like the super pro who had 10's of thousands of hours running one and trained me in said "if your tires spin, you are doing it wrong and the machine will let you know by breaking down".

@69jbr692 жыл бұрын
@@andrewsander5971 Nice! That was one of my favorite machines. It gets repetitive pretty fast but makes the days go quick when plant is running full blast. When you start digging the huge piles out trying to make a cliff face for amusement to get the huge drop don't forget to dig higher up around cab level when it gets to danger zone-almost 90 degree 50+foot wall. That way if the whole face sheds it will hopefully catch bucket and push machine out. If you are in digging low it can trap bucket and than you might have a couple hundred tons coming though cab trying to sit on your lap. Or be smart and dig the edges until it drops. Good luck! Get in the operators union and you will get to play with all the big toys and be able to afford a bunch of your own toys. www.equipmentworld.com/workforce/safety/article/14963325/loader-operator-killed-when-avalanche-of-sand-floods-cab

It's always great to see these old machines still doing a lot of work. When the weather is good I work for a big-ish contracting company and the oldest large equipment we have is from the late 00s. It's always as if older machines are totally written of for any kind of productivity work, which of course is true if you're doing contracting work against stiff competition, but these machines have so much life left in them for this kind of homesteading work or for any small farmer etc. This does make me appreciate how good we have it with our noise insulated cabins, heated seats, bluetooth audio, multiple cameras, computers that weigh every scoop, monitors that show the exact angle of the bucket and a lot more stuff. That also makes it so that modern machines are really hard to maintain by yourself, it's basically impossible for John Deere for example. If I was doing stuff on my own, I'd probably exclusively buy stuff from the 90s.

Love watching your films from Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Also feeling a bit jealous watching you do things you could never 'just do' over here. When I was sailing on heavy lift vessels we used to put a red paint circle around grease nipples on the winches etc so they were easier to spot and less likely to get missed. Keep up the good work and make me smile every time I watch.

There's a big difference between functional fitness, and moving weight. I can tell you there's a lot of super strong guys in the gym, who wouldn't know how to properly apply their strength to seemingly simple tasks. So many things are perplexingly more complicated to move than they seem
