A great story is Kurt Russell was flying his son to Phoenix that night in his private plane and he saw these lights and called the tower about it and they had no idea what it was. He forgot all about it until he was watching a UFO show about it and they said a civil aviation pilot reported it and he realized it was him.

Remember reading about this-this case is fascinating bc in nearly every other UFO story the actual witnesses just say they saw something. Whereas with this literally everyone was completely certain what they’d seen.

It still gets me that Kurt Russell was one of the witnesses. While flying his plane and getting ready to land, he radioed the control tower asking if anybody else could see the lights. Worried that they may interfere with his approach to the airfield.

You know, I find it rather strange the way the question "Do aliens exist?" is often phrased. Of course we're not alone in the universe, or at least it's extremely unlikely considering how vast the universe is and the astronomical number of planets existing. Still, the universe being so massively big is also why it's unlikely aliens have ever made contact with us. Yet people tend to phrase it that way: either aliens exist and they've come to Earth or they just don't exist, where is the nuance in that? I do have to say though, the Phoenix lights are the most compelling case for real UFOs. All other UFO stories I've heard of always seemed to be stretches and wishful thinking to me but this one? I genuinely can't think of any explanation.

Most likely military tech. They have the ability to fly large V shaped airships that are silent and much, much larger than a football field. This isn't secret as the contractors that designed some have talked about it. Jumping to thinking things in the sky are "aliens" is really a huge leap based on 0 evidence.

@@77dris People can think military tech all day but what is not explainable is the " sound" ...no sound, total silence. You cannot have an aircraft the size of a football field just hovering or moving at very slow speeds without no engine sound. In order for there to be a massive object in the sky it must have something to keep it up, and that is simply an engine of some sorts. This craft (whatever it is) completely avoids the laws of physics, the silence is unexplainable.

Yeah also I find it so odd that people assume/claim to have seen aliens to be humanoid or surviving our atmosphere. Other planets are so diverse regarding their "ingredients" and there could be so many different lifeforms, not just carbon based, that we cannot imagine

But if there is a supposedly a breakaway civilisation, centuries ahead in terms of technology, then it could be possible. If those craft that Bob Lazar saw and worked on, are real. Then yes, a massive silent craft is possible. Personally, I think it was some kind of mass hologram technology test. To see how the public would react.

I was around 7 or 8 when this happened. I completely forgot about this occurrence until I started to watch this. I remember my mother being scared for her life and my father joking around whistling the X-Files theme in the car, to creep her out more the night after this happened, when we were going to get dinner. We were living in Las Vegas at the time this happened. Now as an adult, I don't know what to really believe.

i saw the Phoenix lights, i was in my apartment complex as they flew overhead . they were silent, and i remember looking to see if i could spot stars behind them...which i could. so to me they were lights in a V formation. i still don't know what i saw, but they were not flares as far a i could tell. I was used to seeing military planes as well because i was stationed at Luke AFB from 1986-1989. others saw it different than i did, i guess that amazes me...wish i had a video camera at the time!

I was there that thing was unimaginably massive and silent i remember having my tegu lizard outside on our porch for about 10 minutes or so when I noticed he looked up and made a mad dash for the front door scratching at it never seen a large lizard act so spooked so when I stepped off the porch to take a look at what I thought was some arrogant predatory bird, but what i saw directly above a few thousand feet or so is still ingrained in my memory still to this day...

I was there for this. I'm so excited to watch this. Edit: I'm very surprised I was never spoken upon about the snow during this time. It snowed in Phoenix for 3 days before those lights popped up. It was very strange. It was very hot and it's stuck. When we attempted to melt it after making snowballs, it started dripping this clearish yellow liquid and charring. Around the center of the snowball though started oozing out this oranges red paste like substance. It was very odd. When the snow finally did dissipate around 11:00 a.m. is when I noticed everyone else noticed when it was almost gone around noon. Later that night those lights showed up. Our governor at the time said it was a project from Luke Air Force Base. However, Jan bureau was unable to explain the snow.

my friends parents told me about this. they are both people of science, doubting almost everything supernatural. when they tell me about this event, they are entirely sure of what they saw. lights going over their city attached to some kind of giant craft. for some reason they always emphasize how quiet it was. they both are engineers, one of them working at an airplane engine manufacturer, and they know how loud engines must be to get something that big in the air. they tell me it should be audible from 30 miles away if something that big was flying, but it was completely silent. insanity.

I love the fact that Shane mentioned "I don't believe aliens have money" Because that was the only thing i was thinking too, why would a species that has mastered space travel. Why would a unbelievably smart and advanced species like that invent something as destructive and frankly evil as money? If anything, they would probably look at humanity and see our MANY moronic ideas, such as "money" and just shudder over how horrific that idea actually is. They would just see a bit of those ideas and fly away, pleading fate that humanity never makes it of Earth.

I was born after this happened but in like 2012-2015, I saw 5 lights in the sky with my mom and sister a few times every few months for that year. My sister told me about the phoenix lights as we watched the lights move slowly for about like 10-15 mins before suddenly disappearing. Every time they showed up again, it’d be in the same spot for the same amount of time. They were far away, in the direction of where Phoenix would be I think, so idk if they were in a v formation but it seemed like it. I’ve never heard of anyone else talk about these lights before that showed up around 2012-2015, but they looked exactly like the Phoenix lights that I’ve seen in vids and pics.

I was there when it happened... I was 16yrs old, it wasn't anything human made!! Watching the lights was both terrifying and fascinating! I was excited and scared, not knowing if we were being attacked by aliens or if they were here to make contact. The lights were more orange/ yellow then they appear in the video. The lights would dim then brighten again, independently from the other lights but they seemed to be dimming in a pattern. I believe it was one large craft that had the ability to break off into separate smaller crafts and then reattach back into the larger craft.

I live in a small poor town in Texas right on the border of Mexico obviously no one would hear what we have to say, again poor. The whole town witnessed witnessed these lights two years ago and then again last year and it's true they make no noise whatsoever it's weird. Anyway, there's a Facebook page where the town sells and just posts things and there's plenty of videos involving those lights. Just fyi. I had no idea that these lights were seen by other people way back but it is still happening now.

7:48 could very easily be both. The “Foo Fighters” were precisely that, supposed crafts made of solid light. The Delta shaped craft could be their charging base, or interstellar ship, while the ball craft are for terrestrial flight. Would explain the difference in the number of orbs between sightings. More orbs returned to the Delta shaped craft.

I was a toddler living with just my mom near south mountain. I still remember my mom carrying me outside and we were surrounded by people in the streets just staring up at the sky. I have seen something very similar in Prescott, AZ behind Thumb Butte. I watched it for hours... even my father was baffled. I wasn't familiar with the phx lights phenomenon, but now that I'm looking into this, there is so many similarities. I saw it here a few years ago.. In 1990 I saw several triangle-shaped aircrafts with a light in each of it's 3 pointed corners in the nighttime sky when I was still living in Roselle, New Jersey.-They were exactly like one of the U.F.O.s that many people saw in Phoenix.-They didn't make any kind of noise at all and they were moving slowly.-They looked like extraterrestrial spaceships. 🛸 👽

I was 12 yrs old when this happen. Our hole neighborhood was outside watching it happen. A friend of my mother's was a Maricopa County sheriff officer. He was on his phone trying to call whoever he could to get answers. But no one could answer him. It was amazing and one of the most pronounced childhood memories I have. To this day even thinking back I'm still in awe. They were real they are real. I'm a strong believer that we are alone out there. If we exist other have to also.

Jay Koji so far I got this : guy killed 5 and wounded 3 people at night over the course of 10 weeks. Police would patrol the streets at night while no one was allowed outside of their houses (which wasn't that hard since everyone was rightfully terrified), they would armed themselves and buy guns, ammo and locks to lock themselves in their houses apparently to the point where some shops didn't have the supplies available due to it all being sold out.

So, I was born and raised here in Arizona and the night these lights popped up I was about 30 miles West of South Mountain where they appeared just off of interstate 10 on 339th ave when I spotted them in my mirror and pulled over just to see what it was. I've never once believed in any kind of UFO until that very moment and unless you were one of the people like myself that witnessed it you just have no idea of the amount of space this thing covered. This wasn't just some crafty light placement and even from 30 miles away I could faintly see what I can only explain as a the largest craft I've ever seen in the air. I've spoken to 2 separate people who said that they had it pass over them and that it blocked out the stars as it did. Whatever this was it was solid black but even from 30 miles you could see defined edges. Listen lol, the government lies to us all the time and they claim nothing happened because of the panic it could cause. Myself and thousands of others here in Arizona know what we seen. This was not a hoax, a secret military craft or anything else from our planet earth this space craft and again it was extremely large and it was real. I have no doubts since that night that we are not aloane because I seen it with my eyes !!!

This case has haunted me for a long time. i'm so intriged by this because to this day we still have no answers to what was going on the sky. It appears that this phenomena has been happening around the world but nothing quite as big as in 1997 over Phoenix Arizona. What do you think it was? if you had to make guess, since you witness it with your eyes. what could this be? Do you think there were "life forms" in that craft?

November 2015 there was an incident seen across 5 states. I saw it in Southern California. Loads of videos on social media when it happened. It got quieted real fast as routine military testing. I honestly still don’t know what I saw but it was most definitely not anything routine. Torn between giant military oopsie and aliens. I feel like the truck driver because now I sound like a nut job when I talk about it, but seeing that thing broke my brain.

people keep saying this and it simply is not true at all. the government did not say aliens exist. what happened is that someone who works for the government testified before congress that aliens exist. however, he couldnt testify classified information, which means the government hasnt classified any information on aliens, meaning the government probably doesnt have any information of aliens, because obviously if they did it would be classified.

Actually, it is a UFO. UFO stands for Unidentified Flying Object. Therefore, anything that is in the sky and is unidentified, technically counts as a UFO

In 2005 i saw 2 similar UFO triangle formation, with my friend in in Costa Rica taking imposible moving paths to be planes, going up vionlently, doing a Z shaped paths very quickly. We did not talk much about it afraid to be called crazy and between us we talked not much about it after that night, since people would dismiss it and it was going nowhere.

My family lived in Phoenix around this time. I was too young to remember it but I asked my dad recently if he saw it and he said it was like a perfect triangle. He saw the view from a distance and said it hovered over the city for like 30 minutes and then it just zoomed out of sight instantly. Pretty sure someone rly did forget to turn on the cloaking device and fucked up 😂

or maybe the cloaking device broke temporarily in that 30 min. imagine the sky and space is actually filled with lots of UFOs that we can't see... that'd explain the recent strange sounds in the sky that has been going on.
