Watch Byomkesh Bakshi's tenth episode 'Upsanhaar'. Byomkesh Bakshi is a fictional detective in Bengali literature created by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay. He is one of the most successful and popular characters in Bengali literature.
Doordarshan now brings to you the entire series of this literary classic which was televised back in 1993 directed by the brilliant Basu Chatterjee. Actor Rajit Kapur played the role of Byomkesh Bakshi, for which he was highly praised. Ajit was played by K.K. Raina and Satyaboti was played by Sukanya Kulkarni who was the first actress to play the character.

मैं आपसे पूरी तरह से सहमत नही हूं। हां उस वक्त के कार्यक्रम बहुत अच्छे होते थे। पर अभी भी आप TVF के बहुत से सीरीज हैं जो आप पूरे परिवार के साथ देख सकते हैं। जैसे - यह मेरी फैमिली दोनो सीजन, पंचायत दोनो सीजन, गुल्लक तीनों सीजन, कुछ रंग प्यार के ऐसे भी और भी बहुत से सरियाल हैं।

I feel so warm !! Friend stays at his home 10 years even after marriage! People are so much communicative. Have time for each other. Such discussion about work/ Any interesting topic with family members is RARE. Everyone is dipped in mobile phones, whatsapp... I appreciate technology but I miss this warmth too!!! At my grand parents house, in my childhood & even now is kind of sitting together & chat... old things are gold that we have missed today. :(

Relationships have become very selfish and financial. Even husband-wife relationship hasn't remained the same anymore. Elimination of gender roles is responsible for this. In olden times, men and women had a lot of clarity as to what they were supposed to do. My mother used to wait for my father for lunch and dinner. We used to go out to eat once in a year. Nowadays, there is no quality of life. So role clarity is lacking. Also the advent of technology has made people very self indulgent. People do not need other people, they're happy with the internet.

I don't think so, even though the inspector was walking ahead of anukul babu, anukul babu was obviously sure about the presence of byomkesh and ajit. His intention to flee would be a futile attempt as he was surrounded by three men already.

Now thinking about it, why it is so ,maybe the spacing was too narrow as the cameracrew was already present in all the voids necessary. (You can find sometimes the top mic is traversing over the ceiling in some episodes). It is in the 90s & the equipments were also sizeable. And yes, a miscreant of this degree who is again losing a dual theoritically should hit the policeman from behind & take his gun to savour his thirst for revenge. So, no this part is weird in terms of direction but acceptible for the daily tv viewers but not youtuber viewers.

I used to watch this serial on dd when it first aired. My children were small then, but even they waited eagerly for it. Hats off to basu da for making a world class series.

इत्तेफाक से मैंने आज episode-1 और episode-10 देखे, क्योंकि दूरदर्शन पर ये दोबारा से आने लगा है, और मैंने 9वा episode कल देखा था, मुझे आज इसका पहला episode देखने की इच्छा हुई, उसके बाद आज 10वां एपिसोड भी देखा, इसलिए मैं उस आदमी को पहले ही जान गया कि ये वही है!

Basu Chatterjee is a great director. I watched a TV film directed by Basu Chatterjee, named 'Ek ruka hua faisala' where Pankaj Kapoor(father of Saheed Kapoor) was an actor. ... that was a fantastic film...... a must watch film. ... availble in KZfaq.
