This game went from being historically accurate to adding in tanks that are straight up science fiction. This tank should be in a one off mini game, not in the random queue.

Imagine going back even a couple years and telling people a tier 8 heavy would be released with a 160mm gun, 280mm pen 800dmg he rounds, 10 deg depression, crazy frontal armor, and rocket boosters.

The power creep in this game is so ridiculous.

So WT E100 is not balanced as tier 10, but this 800 dmg shot thing is totally fine, well done WG...

Giving this tank armor, speed (with turbo), and high damage per shot is the most balanced thing WG done. 🤑

This thing is terrifying. Only one thing is more terrifying: seeing ppl be happy with this. Seeing players get exciting about this. Am I the only f2p player left in game? O_o

Don't waste your money on this tank, save your money for next year's large boxes and try to get the tank with wings

Fun fact: You can still sharp turn during a jet boost by using hand brake (space bar on PC). It’s like drifting where your almighty BZ-176 just “skrrr” its fat butt around the corner followed by a boost start.

750 damage a shot is rediculous for a tier 8, my tier x tanks don’t even do that

With all the OP tanks coming in up top, I find myself having more fun at T5-7. More fun to just not play their game.

Just to clarify 50.8mm on that section of the Conqueror's roof is accurate IIRC, its 2 inches of armor, thus 25.4mm x 2. In Warthunder for example its thickness is '51mm' which is simply 50.8 rounded up. Wargaming didn't make that up (at least). Also the fire chance is 12%, but Chinese tanks tend to have low module HP, thus higher chance for fuel tank or ammo rack damage, and fires or detonations.

Been going against them all day. It's no different from the cobra in the sense that all anyone fires is gold.

This tank is the latest example of WG struggling to balance a tank with a new mechanic, which is understandable to an extent. However, if they refuse to nerf premium tanks then why don’t they introduce new mechanics with tech tree tanks (which can be nerfed if necessary) and release premiums with those mechanics afterwards?

Been playing some today and last night, and this tank broke the game. They are basically one shotting any T7 they are up against and T8 armor on any medium or light cant bounce their gun and are basically a two shot.

Got into a game with 6 of these on the enemy team. Fun times.

This tank feels more like tier 11 than tier 10.

Would've been fine if it was a glass cannon where it would have no armor but has the damage and boost mechanic

I log in to the game once every month or so. I play my T95 and chill with a cup of coffee. I scratch my head over the new broken tanks that has been added. Italian TDs with insane ridgline performance, EBRs still running around spotting everything and now this beheemoth. Awh well, there is always that "quit to desktop" button. Dubble klick Minecraft and all is well again. 🥰

Had a platoon of two of these come at me...face on...in my T6 Jackson...but I was bushed, so...while I was unable to pen them (which I discovered rather quickly)...I did keep both of them tracked so others could flank them...one of them was able to apply its booster...and then boosted right on past me... allowing me to get the kill shot🙂

If you were to show this tank to WG when WoT was first released in 2010/2011 and ask them at what tier this tank would be, they'd definitely say it is at tier X. But reality is that this tank is at tier X. Powercreep is over 9000

That new BZ should have been a tier ix. If you dont have armor it derps the sh.t out of you and if you have armor it overmatches you anyway. Plus, it has great armor and its gun handling is much more that acceptible for that kind of caliber. And as if these were not enough, it has f.king rockets on its back! It is outright better than the tier ix chinese premium heavy tank they sold earlier... I don't know what WG is trying to do.

This tank is the very epitome of pay-2-win... Watching those replays one could think that this is some kinda fun-mode where every gets to play this tank and derps around.... but no, reality is different, p2w different... And seeing how many of those tanks are on the battlefield, shows how many players have bought lootboxes, which in turn again means, that Lootboxes are gonna happen more often in which new content is hidden. Unless you buy lootboxes because of the gold (since it is good value for the money), you are the reason why lootboxes and micro-transactions have become the de-facto standard in the gaming industry. With that you have lost the right to ever complain about lootboxes again, since u literally bought some urself. So thx to every player who bought those lootboxes for making everything in the gaming industry worse.

I returned to World of Tanks just when this tank was released. I was grinding my KV-4 along with my friend who also hasnt played in years, and you can imagine how fun this was for us, every game had multiple BZ's and we were taking up the heavy tank slots in non BZ tanks so yeah..

It was so nice logging in yesterday and having half the combined tanks in a fight being these things. Reminds me of the annoying days of those stupid Italian tds

Tanks like ISU152K become obsolete by the release of the BZ - and that's not only for that high caliber gun premiums...that armor combined with thegun just makes it the best premium in the game imo

Something that should be mentioned is that the jet boosters can get you up slopes that no other tank could traverse making it incredible at appearing in weird locations. Best example I've seen is on Outpost in the North "town" area. The BZ can boost up the slope from below into the alleyway of the West side.

WG had stooped into new lows by releasing completely broken tank. This tank clearly should had been Tier 9. If Wargamming will not balance premium vehicles and will not do a big overhaul to entire pay to win economy, this game is running on fumes and I recommend people to start looking for others games to play. OP premium tanks and BS premium ammunition is the biggest thing which kills my desire to play this game at the moment. This tank just had raised bar for all other tanks and only select few vehicles are even good enough to be competitive against this nonsense.

I would like to point out that, historically, the Caliban was designed with a 160 mm gun, instead of the 6" one we got in the game (because WeeGee couldn't be assed to model it at the time). Not only that, but it was also supposed to fire HESH rounds, just like the BZ-176 does. Quite honestly, if I had bought the Caliban when it came out, I'd feel insulted.

You missed that the rockets also push you through the air. So you can jump over some rocks for rams that you used to not be able to & stuff.

This tank is just yet another example of the greed and incompetency of wargaming. A tier 8 with incredible armor, decent mobility (cuz of boosters) an insane gun with 850 or 650 alpha, 10 degrees of gun depression and good viewrange. The powercreep in this game is just ridiculous wargaming is running this game into the ground with all those toxic brainless tanks.

Great review. I bought my annual small batch of loot crates (just 12 this time) and got this tank. Now I get to go fall in some noob traps.

Everyone thought the vipera was pretty op but this thing has a fully traversable turret, better mobility and better armor at only the cost of the pen and dps. The vipera and bz176 have comparable pen for both standard and gold pen. Just op all around.

it is an insane tank, most matches i see these things do 4-5k dmg. occasionaly ill see these tanks lose but thats usualy pilot error

So got this thing today and its VERY strong, definitely the new best T8 heavy if not best T8 period. Within 10 games Ive already got an Ace and upset my personal best for most damage in a game. Made it onto the fill on Cliff and managed almost 7.6k damage. Honestly its only downside is its reload if people all in you or if you get stuck against higher tier tanks and you cant get side shots on them.

I noticed that the view points are broken. I was in my type 59 spot the BZ at probably 150 meters over a ridge. Then he backs up waits till he's unspotted then kills me with out me spotting him. And there's no bushes, he was using the ridge with his depression. Never spotted him even after he killed me. This happened twice

I shredded one of these last night (a hulldown fight) with the Lowe I bought ten years ago. lol… good accuracy rips that weak roof.

This tank not only has the same premium HE pen as the BZ-75, but also has the same AP alpha as the BZ-75 with a 160mm gun instead of the BZ-75's 152mm gun.

Well we just got the BZ line in Blitz, not sure if they’re gonna bring this 176 in the game but oh boy if they do it will fun!

Outrageous is the word. I got one in the Christmas boxes. Played it a few times and sold it. It is the most OP tank I have ever played.

Speed, armour and massive one shot damage potential, sounds balanced to me WG. Yes like everything else it will be surpassed by the next OP tank and everyone will move on, but let’s be honest, at the moment it is OP and ruining every game it appears in.

It’s kinda pain to play in world of tanks while first days of a new patch, especially Christmas event which involves many new overpowered tanks every year.

I got this tank after opening exactly.... 1 box. Yes. The FIRST large box I opened had this baby in it, my new Derp Daddy.

So a tier 8 is doing more damage than nearly all my tier 10 TD ‘s !!! And reloads faster to what a joke why bother playing now and can’t imagine there’s to many happy players now unless you own one off these tanks , well done war gaming

You might think people would use AP to take advantage of the overmatch mechanics, but no, all the gold zombies I've seen don't press anything other than the 2 key

It feels like it has what was once the ridiculous gun handling of the Skoda 56 where it hits every single shot. Meanwhile techtree tanks with 0.3 accuracy misses at 100m. Soon as a new lootbox tank is available this gun will experience the Skoda 56 treatment.

The best thing to do when playing against this tank is AVOID IT! Let your teammates fight it and maybe get a few lucky shots in and wear it down some before you end up having to fight it!

A tier IV should be able to slow it down providing the tank didn't use all its boosts. You can't armor those rockets very much. A mechanics idea: If you lose 1 side and then boost on the other side, you lose stability for going forward.

Honestly I'm really disappointed that WG released this. It hits HE pen is too high. The fact that it can pen the frontal plate of most tier 8 heavy tanks (except the heaviest of the Germans) is completely broken if you ask me. For example if I'm playing my IS3 then a platoon of 2 BZs can drive around the corner and end my game with no counter. It has 3 strengths... pen, damage, and armor. One of them needs to be nerfed to make it balanced.

I'm still learning the game, needed som gold, credits, rss and wot premium days so I bought 80 boxes and got this one and the AMBT, and this beast was really fun to play💣

I got the BZ on my 1ST box lol, before you say FU i have tried to get tanks every year with boxes and this was the first year I did.

How is this not PayToWin? Isn't this like the type 4/5 back in the day when you load good shells you have better pen and more alpha? Pay to do more damage and have more pen.

I just came back to this game after a 3 year break, first thing I see is this thing that I can't pen and which did 700 alpha to me with AP.

Wow. I havent played the game in a few years. Just coming back the other day and facing tanks like this and the caiban. Wow, seems like every tank today has crazy alpha damage.

I'm pretty upset that not only does this tank have the same HE pen as the tier 10 Chinese heavy (with only 200 less alpha), but it's AP is THE SAME ALPHA as the tier 10 and has them both on the same gun! The tier 10 will honestly be worse than this tank without a doubt if they don't adjust it before release. Otherwise you either get an HE option with a useless 75mm pen standard HE (it should be 90 for a 180mm gun lol) or a 650 alpha gun that is arguably the worst 150+mm gun in the game (also the small gun actually gets 90mm of HE pen!)

Wargaming just nerfed every premium tank in the game, something they promised they wouldn't do.

Against a KV3, I hit for close to 800, caught him on fire for another chunk of HP, then I hit the rockets and rammed him to finish him off--all in about 5 seconds.

What crew skins are those in the video? And how do you get them?

And this and similar pay to win tanks are the reason why I stopped playing my beloved WoT in November 2018 .... and although I feel like playing WoT from time to time, I look and see lootboxes and pay to win tanks and mechanics again and the desire passes ...

We played some tier 8 skirms with 6 of these bad boys. We won every engagement. Probably one of the more fun tanks to play, even against other BZ-176s.

You can actually steer when boosting. Just let off gas and turn without pressing forward

I got BiZarre-176 but can't really make it work so well yet. Its accuracy aiming time is so bad I decided to drop rammer in place of vertical stabilizer. It's reload time is so long even with rammer you always have to hide between shots, it's not a tank which will use its DPM anyway. I think aiming device gives too low bonus compared to v-stab and I won't equip both as vents + turbo are too important.

225 pen for a prem HE on tier 8 is ATROCIOUS!!

QB others have found a way to interrupt the three shot burst on the Char MLE 75 by changing drive modes

My E-75 just got chewed up by one of these in a city brawl. It's insane, it's like fighting a t10. Tree tanks are so bad now -and researching a tree takes a lot of time and money.

Remember when they removed the BL-10 gun from the ISU-152 because it was "to strong" for a tier 8 tech tree tank, few months later they make a premium version of the ISU with that same BL-10 gun 😂, right from there i knew this game was becoming p2w.

To me it ruined Tier 8, at least when it comes to grinding tanks like the Pershing. You can avoid other high dmg tanks like the ISU or FV at Tier 10 because they are TDs sitting in the back, and Japanese HT don't usually pen with their derp gun. But getting into close quarter combat & meeting a BZ just fucken sucks. If I'll ever grind any meds or heavies, I'll skip the T8 from now on.

I love this tank, it's such dumb fun. Most fun I've had in this game for a while, especially when in a platoon with another BZ

The tank is crazy, but i wouldnt call it the best tier 8 heavy because of the inconsistency it offers.

Next year's Tier 8 premium tank will be a laser cannon hover tank with energy shield. To get it all you'll have to do is gamble 1- maybe 2000 $-s on christmas lootboxes
