YG is known for throwing their talents under the bus once they believe they have maxed out their use. BP was created in replacement of 2NE1. The next big group they're going to release will most likely have the same fate. After about 8 years, once each member reaches their peak and starts harboring mixed reviews globally, YG will be on to releasing the next talent. It's basically a YG group life cycle.

YG didn't make Minzy quit or Bom sneak in illegal prescription drugs or make CL put solo activities over group acrivities. He actually wanted them to continue as a 3 member group but was overruled by the board.

@@EmilyteaActually, she’s always been a studio vocalist. Her live performances have always been shaky. But put that unique tone in the studio for multiple takes and she will make it sound like no one else can.

The thing that can’t be replicated about Park Bom’s voice is the emotion she’s able to put behind it. Even pre debut, she had such a unique vocal color. Obviously YG does train a specific technique, BUT from the beginning she already had that special talent that makes her the golden voice and most unique voice of Korea

12:26 I searched for Seo Jiwon, and he debuted in 1994, this song "Another Start/Beginning" performed by Bom was his debut song, and before the release of his 2nd album, despite his popularity, he took his life at the age of 20 (korean age), which shocked the fans. The 2nd and 3rd albums were still released so the fans can still listen to his other unreleased songs. Now, I understand why this left a nostalgic feeling to all of them. Mijoo even teared a bit.
