A topic that I try to explain to people/ customers about their headlight performance is that this is a big problem! Just replacing the bulb or buying an expensive LED will do absolutely nothing at all! To be fair, another thing that I mention to people is that, in some cases, especially on older vehicles, the reflective material can also become corroded. It more prevalent in projector housing than the standard reflector housings. Again, especially on older vehicles. Something I think you guys could have mentioned in this video to make people more aware of what the possibilities are. Depending on person/customer, I normally use the 3M resto kit's that come with the clear already in the kit. I have had a TON of success doing this method for those who don't want to or can't really afford to rebuild, replace or even modify their headlight or tail light assemblies for better performance. Normally I do try to convince people that cleaning the inside and outside of the lenses will have a much better result over just cleaning the outer lense, but you will regain some of your lighting performance by doing this at the bare minimum. I wanted to mention this method to people because a lot of people think it's a difficult process when in reality, it's a fairly simple one, it just takes a little time and attention to detail so that it's done correctly. It is a 3 step process that includes sanding down the lenses, using 3 different grit levels and then using the clear ( it's a towel) to reseal and clear the lenses. Again, not difficult just takes time and a bit of effort. Most of the kits do come with an attachment for drills , so that helps cut the time in half.

I have an RX-8 and new or like-new headlights (let alone lenses) are damn near impossible to find nowadays. Would you be able to help out?
