Every time I watch Ben videos I always feel him as the 8 bit Keith Richards. I grew up listening to his music, great memories. RIP Ben.

A very Talented Person and Humble as well considering that he created the Most Amazing Song for a Video Game- The Last Ninja. Brings Back Great Memories

Ben for life. Krakout must be specially remembered, that was a good one!
@BigPhillyStyle19825 жыл бұрын
Krakout had the best music I ever heard in a video game of any kind. It made the game more addictive and it sounded so futuristic and wild for a C64 game.

RIP Ben Dalglish, the Last Ninja (1&2) were my favourite games as a child and the music is something that has stayed with me since (particularly LN1 ) I still think these are some of the most awesome game compositions ever (and I'm nearly 45)..

Revisiting this interview (first saw it when he was alive and well), I am currently 42 like Ben is here, yet he's passed away. Life can be shorter than you think.

Wow, I only just read that Ben passed late last year. Only 53, too. It's sad to know that the guy who played a huge part in the life of C64 games, which was a huge part of my childhood, has now left this world... Wherever you are, Ben... thanks for making our childhood games that much more enjoyable. RIP.

As newbie game developer I asked him if he likes to write me a comment after seeing my game trailer... NOT one second of hesitation. He was so kind... even with a stranger. RIP great artist.

He composed the greatest C64 tune ever (The Last Ninja, the wastelands). Enough said.

Ben composed one of my all-time favourites pieces of C64 music, the wonderful theme to 'Blitzkrieg' :) I have it now ripped to my iTunes :))

He is amazing. Some of his tunes are timeless and would make it in the charts if they were re-recorded to clubsound. Check out 3-d galaxx

Loved that! There is a great 5 page article about him (sort of an interview) in the newest Retro Gamer (Issue 70). If you love Ben Daglish for whatever reason, read that article. 5 *s from me!

Dont know much about computers but this guy is on hell of an entertainer and musician. Ben when are you going to team up with anna brooks again and play some of your gypsy jazz. I only have 4 tracks of yours and they are awsome !
@lawrencecrowley38229 жыл бұрын
A very talented guy! I hope everything is well with him because he looks really bad in this video! Like he has just come out of drug rehab (or about to go IN!). In any case, I wish him the best of luck. His music will live on, no matter what. LC

+Lawrence Crowley Yeah that struck me too. He sort of looks like a junkie. I'm not judging, and we might be completely wrong anyway. He's a legend in any case!
@Tweekend278 жыл бұрын
I just watched the clip of Ben and David Whittaker at an event filmed in maybe 2001? He looked slightly less weathered there. Maybe like a lot of computer guys, doesn't really care about his social acceptance.

Because he doesn't conform? Lucky he doesn't as perhaps we wouldn't have his music if he had?
@thedutchfisherman70785 жыл бұрын
Really a great and nice guy but why does he always looks so shabby and neglected? Rest in peace Ben, you will be missed!
@perplexedmoth7 жыл бұрын
WTF people, what's wrong with his looks? That you try to pretend to look good and impress other people every single day of your life makes you any better than not giving a fuck and wearing whatever you feel comfortable with and look like anything you want, eh
@djmc27771112 жыл бұрын
That C64 looks a bit pale. After Mr Daglish touched the c64 it turned a deep chocolatey, golden brown. It now makes a living singing its heart out at local pubs.

Unfortunetely he look like a homeless. Why?
@nebularain33384 жыл бұрын
What a shitty thing to say! He looks what is properly known as "bohemian", not "homeless" as you tastelessly describe it. Also, he was suffering from lung cancer, so maybe take the stick out your arse and realise that there are more images and lifestyles which conform to not just short hair and suits.
