Robert Durst stands trial for the 2000 murder of friend Susan Berman. The trial began just before the pandemic in early 2020 and was halted two weeks in. The restart happened May 17, 2021, with the same jury panel.
The defendant’s wife Kathleen McCormack Durst went missing in 1982. Evidence and testimony would show that Robert Durst killed her, the prosecutor said. The defendant allegedly told Berman it was an accident and asked her for help. She served as his alibi.
Berman, 55, was shot execution-style at her Beverly Hills home in 2000, and the prosecution suggested that it was because of what she knew about Kathleen’s death and disappearance. As defense lawyer Dick DeGuerin would have it, however, Durst is innocent. His client only came across the body, panicked, and fled, he maintained.

They should of put him away years ago after the 1st time he killed someone,the others would still be alive. Sad they are harsher on drugs vs murderers 🤦‍♀️

The prosecution have so much now .....ive seen the majority of theses episodes ...I have been in to this case for years, prosecution found, going back years of connections that have never spoken before, that is years of real hard work, defence can only play with words .......

How was the relation between Mr. Durst and Susan before, during and after his marriage? It might Susan cover him in name of his strong relation? But cover him, what or how? She pressed him to pay for kiping the secrets? She was an alibi, a helper, finally an enemy?

How is it that this lawyer gets to introduce hearsay evidence? His client has to give evidence to say that she agrees to him giving evidence on her behalf. Just saying she agrees to waiving her lawyer/client privilege without proof is nuts!

All these people talk about Susan Berman as we are talking about an actress from a movie. She was not a figure in a movie, unfortunately. She was living in the same time with us. Every one of the witnesses tell us stories about this woman. How she got money, how she lived, how she survived with or without a man, a stable job, a family or what she have spoken.

I think it is bcz Defense attys opened the door by trying to impune Linda obst integrity. Her testimony was a bombshell to the Defense. Just my guess.

I am wondering to know what Susan was doing with Mr. Durst. How we can name their relation? What means "closer friends". They were brothers in blood? This is one of the key! Who was Susan in this trio equation?

I definitely have some thoughts - and likely explanations - on that particular question. Are you stiill interested in the case? I'm just rewatching The Jinx for the first time in years and I have so many more thoughts on the matter now...
