Robert Durst stands trial for the 2000 murder of friend Susan Berman. The trial began just before the pandemic in early 2020 and was halted two weeks in. The restart happened May 17, 2021, with the same jury panel.
The defendant’s wife Kathleen McCormack Durst went missing in 1982. Evidence and testimony would show that Robert Durst killed her, the prosecutor said. The defendant allegedly told Berman it was an accident and asked her for help. She served as his alibi.
Berman, 55, was shot execution-style at her Beverly Hills home in 2000, and the prosecution suggested that it was because of what she knew about Kathleen’s death and disappearance. As defense lawyer Dick DeGuerin would have it, however, Durst is innocent. His client only came across the body, panicked, and fled, he maintained.

the judge needs to say hes not accepting mistrial for his health pure and simple. stop them wasting the courts time. its already been far too long where his own constitutional rights are violated for a fair and speedy trial. If Mr Dursts is unwell then he can waive his appearance or have a video feed set up for him in his cell where h has his bed and access to pain meds etc where he can be comfortable

This witness is so gross. He’s smarmy and clearly a liar. Does anyone actually believe that Susan didn’t put up any money? She was well off, got involved in his doomed and failure of a project, suddenly has no money after that, but didn’t give anything at all. Sure. If he did actually break up with her, it was only because she ran out of money for him to sponge off of. No wonder his kids don’t want anything to do with him.

This audio is grating on my nerves with the video presentation of Mr. Kaufman. In this day and age we do have better technology than this not unless LA county is strapped for cash.

Bobby is doing a great here, with the catherer, the blanket, a little nod here and there.....not bad. Keeps jotting dwon notes on his LEGAL pad. He does look awful, I do enjoy when he attempts to to a wheelie with this chair to stare out at the crowd...such a showman,

@Stephanie Ella it is sad for Susan, however what Susan Berman participated in back in 1982 in concert with Durst was unforgivable. It was a big story back then and then it disappeared.

He hasn't always been old/sickly and fragile. He did allll that he wanted to do while physically capable.

He still is. Watch how he moves that wheelchair and rips pages out of his pad to pass notes. People are still frightened he might be released.

Dude...gotta watch it. Alot of heresay from the prosecution witnesses, that is all they have at this point all the victims are dead. It is interesting watching the defense attempting to tear them down.

I'd say it's about even...16 days of testimony and still no evidence Durst murdered his wife or Susan Berman. The highly skilled defense has done a good job slicing and dicing most of the prosecution witnesses.
