Cab plays a ladies’ man who dates the wife of a train porter who is frequently absent from home. In addition to this tongue-in-cheek plot, Cab Calloway and His Orchestra perform “Harlem Camp Meeting,” and Calloway has two vocals, “Zaz-zuh-zaz” and “The Lady with the Fan.”
Presented for historical reference.

Saw him in person at a Harlem Globe Trotters game in Los Angeles in the early 60s or late 50s? I was a kid. I’m 75 now what a thrill! I didn’t know who he was but saw him in Blues Brothers movie. My stepdad tried to tell me who he was but found out later. What a game that was with Meadowlark Lemon on the Globetrotters and high energy Cab Calloway!

I was a kid in the mid-70s and Pop took me to his concert in SF on NYE and he rocked the house like 1934. This was just after the Blues Bros so he was cool again but I already knew who he was. He was hip and cool before all of the rest...

Hi Di Ho and Minnie the Moocher are Cab Calloway's most famous recordings. He was so popular they immortalized him in Cartoons which is an accomplishment. Now, every generation can learn about him. Even little children, if their parents enlighten them as my mother did her children. This was my sisters favorite by Cab Galloway.

After playing Cuphead, I realize now that not only is King Dice based on Cab Calloway, but the melody of the song in the beginning, heavily reminds of the Phantom Express boss fight!!

I remembered seeing some of Cab Calloway here and there when I was a kid, but I had almost totally forgotten. His work is a national treasure! What an absolutely brilliant, amazing, and timeless genius! 100 years, 200 years, or even a millennium from now, this man will always be timeless and amazing.
