In this video you can enjoy the cab ride - train drivers' view on Railways train between the Budapest Déli to Balatonszemes on Balaton lake on the line Budapest - Nagykanizsa - Murakeresztúr line 30 (MÁV) in 4K/60 frames per second. Maximum speed is 120 km/h.
The Budapest-Murakeresztúr railway is a cca. 235-kilometre long railway line in Hungary that connects the Hungarian capital city Budapest with Nagykanizsa and Murakeresztúr. South of Murakeresztúr, the railway connects to the Croatian railway system, specifically the M501 railway serving Čakovec. The M501 connects to the Slovene railways at Središče ob Dravi, extending to Pragersko, while the R201 line branching off in Čakovec serves Varaždin. The line is part of the Pan-European Corridor V.
The rail line along the south shore of Lake Balaton was built in 1861 as the Budapest - Székesfehérvár - Nagykanizsa railway. Within the Kingdom of Hungary, it was a main line to Adriatic ports. Its current status is an international route to Slovenia and Croatia, but with many intermediate stations, serving the tourist resorts along the lake shore.

Really enjoyed the ride along, it been a number of years since the last time I visited Hungary and what really brought back memories to me was seeing the wide variety of home styles and the wide array of home exterior colors that the Hungarian people love to use. The Hungarian people real do have a vibrant outlook on life and it shows in how they enjoy using architecture and architectural features to enrich their living spaces even when winter conditions turn gray and foreboding their homes and cities still are filled with color and style that lifts the spirit of the people. Thanks for the trip.

Very nice video! I’m Hungarian and have family in the country. I always enjoy traveling with MÁV. I’ve made similar journeys to this a lot in my childhood! I’d love to see more video like this from Hungary!

I traveled this line often from the early 70's and into the next century to see my late grandmother and other relatives in Fonyód (I wish this trip would have gone that far!). Unfortunately, the last time has been far too long (2015), and so this is especially nostalgic for me. Absolutely love the cricket stowaway in the cab, too. Ügyes masiniszta! Nice cab ride from Hungary, beautiful line from Budapest to Balaton, and then around the lake. Was in the area driving on the parralel M7 motorway, but still enjoyed the video a lot, as the railway gets much closer to the lake as the motorway. Superbe vidéo, surtout si on la regarde en plein écran. Ce trajet (Budapest -> Siófok), je l'ai fait des dizaines de fois, en traction vapeur, en traction diesel et une fois en traction électrique. Je suis surpris des progrès que la MÁV a fait. La durée du trajet par rapport à mon temps est pour ainsi dire, divisé par 2. Chose étonnante, je n'ai vu aucun croisement de trains concernant la partie qui longe le lac Balaton, alors que le trafic est réputé d'être assez dense. C'est une ligne qui est qu'en même internationnale.

Right before Székesfehérvár, the line merging in from the right is actually an old railway line from Lovasberény, not Baja. But all in all, very nice video🙂

@@RailRelaxation yes, for example at 0:56 the train is already driving while we hear the whistle and the brakes get unbraked. Similar case is while leaving Kelenföld. Also the sound of going over other tracks are few seconds late... I tried to watch on both phones and my PC and it's the same thing. Maybe KZfaq has some problems 🤷🏻‍♂️

@@TransspotterKanal I noticed it too. The audio track is delayed by ~30 seconds. It is also noticeable where the train passes under bridges or crosses switches. Awesome video though!

Ahogy vesszük, Fehérvárról kifelé valóban el lehet jutni a közelebbi jobboldali vágányon Zalaegerszegre, de Veszprém esetleg Celldömölk pontosabb lenne. Amúgy az a 20-as vonal ami Székesfehérvár-Szombathely.

@@RailRelaxation If you are realizing, that there are "twin consonants" (sz, zs, ty, gy, ny, ly), which should be considered always as one in the pronunciation, it becomes very straightforward, because it is almost completely fonetic.

Merci. No, they are all mine cab rides. I love travelling and love trains...so the result is this. This year during my summer holidays we went to Switzerland and I managed to film some videos. I live in Slovenia, so Croatia, Hungary and Austria are my neighbours...

Même les autres conducteurs doivent obtenir une dérogation de la direction s'ils veulent faire un trajet non prévu à côté du conducteur officiel... C'est ça qui m'étonne ! 🤔😁

Je confirme, ce ne sera pas possible en France... Je ne sais à qui tu demandes pour les autorisations mais à moins de connaître personnellement le PDG de la SNCF, chez nous, les conducteurs ne prendrons pas la responsabilité d'accrocher un objet externe à la motrice...Qui ne fait pas partie de l'équipement officiel...😮‍💨 Dommage...😔 @+👋

@@RailRelaxation Just for clarification: The Hungarian borders are'nt closed and they were'nt. Some restrictions was introduced during the COVID19 pandemic but that's over now. The Hungarian border is closed for every illegal entry. Anybody with valid passport and personal identity card may enter Hungary.
